Heya, fellow of this amino. Lyric here.
Happy (3 months late) New Year!
(...god, I suck at timing things correctly)
Once again, I have returned from my unannounced ‘hiatus’ from posting. The reason why, is because I fell into builder’s block (or that I ran out of ideas due to some personal issues). I also planned on making a new and hyped up post around last Christmas for a traditional Christmas Special, but of course, I didn’t have the time to make that post in time. I had such a good idea for a special, but since that already ed, I had to throw it all in the bin with my other scrapped ideas. And to make it all worse, I missed many important events that I failed to catch up on during my ‘hiatus’. And with these double whammies of missing stuff constantly, I’ve been feeling very, very unmotivated... but that’s for later!
For my ‘second recovery’ I decided to make another animal-based MOC. I know that I’m more of a robot/mech person, but I do have a soft spot for animal MOCs; either it being mythology-based, or just a normal creature in Lego brick form. You may say that I was inspired by my L-Cerberus post to continue with these MOCs of mechanical creatures.
~ ~
But before we get onto the MOC, let’s start with some upgrades with the LHB-003 (or the LHB-004)!

I decided to give ‘em a slight redesign. I tried going for a more bounty hunter look (since they were made for that) with the addition of the shoulder pads. I also switched one arm and one leg with a double-molded one, just to give the fig some more detail with the colors.
And what’s kinda ironic yet sad, is how I decided to redesign the fig now after I entered for this year’s current Minifigure Tournament, which forces me to go with the older design for that.
I may have liked the older design back then...
But from my newer perspective, I honestly don’t.
But unfortunately, it’s just one of those things you have to deal with.
Anyway- with this redesign, I decided to why not remake the unique trait of the bot, aka the extra arms.

And here’s the new arms in action:

I mostly changed them to look more advanced, since the last one just looked clunky and didn’t move around as much. I also decided to make some of the arms turn into extra blasters (as shown in the picture above).
And the last upgrade I did to this bot was the weaponry.

The only thing I kept was the sword, the last two are the ones I changed. I scrapped the net bomb to change it into a net launcher-like gun, and I took out the stun-blaster and replaced it with a normal and more efficient version.

Anyway, with those minor upgrades out of the way, here’s the new addition to my mechanical critters:
The L-Canine/L-Hellhound!

~ Info/Description: ~
Meant to be the “descendants” of the L-Cerberus design, this mass-produced type of robot is supposedly the “hellhounds” of the Lyric Empire. Having mostly a dragon-like design inspired from their predecessor, as well as having mostly dog, wolf, or even fox-like characteristics, this quadrupedal robot are quite an oddity, yet they’re known as one of the most vicious robots the empire has ever produced.
These robotic critters are relatively meant and built to only assist LHB class soldiers in scouting. This is where the mass-producing comes in. When on a certain mission, the scouts are often assigned the L-Canine (sometimes referred as the L-Hellhound). Like I said before, the robotic canines are supposed to the scout bots in any way possible; like assisting in hunting, normal exploration, or be there to just give the scout some company.
Hell, they can be pretty good boys if you provide them with a reward!

But don’t let their cuteness fool you... they’re called one of the most vicious robots of the Lyric Empire for a reason.

•Via some ports on their sides, the L-Canine can have a wide usage of weapon attachments.
The two major ones used are:
The normal blaster cannons:

And, for more violent approaches, the chainsaw weapons:

~ Abilities: ~
•Besides the weapon attachments, the L-Canine has another, secret weapon. Similar to it’s predecessor, the L-Cerberus, the robot has chain-like tail with a sharp blade at the end, which can be used to stab opponents or anything else that involves stabbing.
•Another, surprising ability they have that makes them a great scouting robot is that they can...
Transform!

That’s right! They can convert themselves into a vehicle!

When they transform, their hind legs turn into boosters, their tail retracts to make a third booster, the front legs fold up over the snout of the head, and the horns work as handles. Could your pet do that?

That’s pretty much it for the new robo doggie. Overall, this guy was a pretty fun build to make!

But... now, here comes the more depressing part of this blog. I said I’d continue talking about my current situation, and so I am.
~ My Current Situation: ~
To sum it all up, I’m all out of ideas. I feel seriously unmotivated, and I’m not interested to any other events or building challenges until one eventually catches my eye. The post you see here was only an older idea I came up with awhile back, and might be my last for awhile.
And y’know what, to be honest, I’m going to officially say it:
I may not be actively posting for awhile.
By that, I’m deciding to officially state that I’m going on an actual hiatus, maybe a long one, depends on when I’ll get myself back together. Yes, by the world’s current pandemic, I have almost all the free time I need. But... I just don’t feel like doing anything here at the moment, due to my own personal issues.
So... until I decide to come back with newer ideas for my future, this may be the last blog you see from me. You can still see me be active here in a few chats, maybe in a few comment sections on other blogs, but overall, I’m done posting for now.

This is a farewell, for now!
Make sure to wash your hands, stay home, and stay safe!
. . .
Or else.
This is Lyric, g out.

Amazing bravo  🏻
Thanks. ^^
This is really amazing and an ingenious design! Welcome back, and sorry to hear!
Thanks. And don’t worry, I’ll be back... eventually.
I love how it looks!
Dude you missed the perfect opportunity to name the L-Hellhound the L-hound
True, though the name L-Hellhound sounds a lot more menacing and fits with the aesthetic-
