Hey guys it's me the brick boss here and today will be taking a look at the March wave of Ninjago sets there are two in total I'm looking forward to checking out both of these sets and the new Minifigures that they put inside of these ones there are some new ones that weren't released in January so I'm looking forward to seeing what each set has to offer. First step we're going to be taking a look at is thunder Fang Dragon of chaos
this set comes with six Minifigures Lloyd Sora Arin Tyr nokt and nya. First thing I want to talk about is the place where he's chained up you have to put in both prismatic blades to free thunder Fang honestly I do like that feature of this set but I wish they would have had the other hands chain but I believe that might be the one that's in the set will be taking a look at later the art Dragon of focus at least that's how I'm going to be displaying my thunderfang moving forward having him connected to both of the shrines with his chains. I also do really like the flag on the shrine as well. Honestly it's a great build when it comes down to it. There's not really much sets you can say have some thing like this is a play feature for Ninjago. Now thunder Fang on his own just looks phenomenal especially with the shutter spin looking wings as well I think as a dragon he looks sick he seems skinny like he's been starved which I'm guessing is because of the fact that he's been trapped underneath the first realm for so many years. I look forward to seeing him in the TV show. Another decent thing about this which is a little bit hidden is the fact that it has suitable discs for his wings which is very nice looking and I definitely think they did an amazing job on it. Honestly I think the fact that the purple and red color scheme looks so great for him just makes him one of the most stunning dragons we've gotten in a few years. You know we get so many different variations of elemental dragons. And they're always the same five elements they don't really go off the beaten path for this this is the first time we're actually seeing an elemental dragon for chaos other than the overlord dragon that's basically the only real villain dragons that we've gotten like ghost dragons were a a decade ago but it's finally nice for them to finally give us a new evil dragon. Another thing I do want to talk about the the chain around his neck looks just phenomenal as well I think they definitely were able to capture thunder fangs essence into a set. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This set has 668 pieces and retails for $89 canadian. Last set we're going to be taking a look at is the arc Dragon of focus
this set has 7 minifigures pixel a dragonian warrior Kai Cole Lloyd drix and zakrt. First thing I do want to talk though this set does come with a dragon spinner for drix to show he he's doing shutterspin which is nice honestly it would have been okay if we didn't get one but it's just nice to see The forbidden five actually have a spinner I feel like you know they should have switched out Ras out for nokt in the $24 spinner Battle set from January but it's just nice to finally have one for the forbidden five now. Next I want to talk about the small shrine which holds the prismatic blade honestly this will definitely be connected to my thunder fan once I just figure out where I'm going to put them. Especially with it looking a lot like the the chain prison piece from the other set so I'll probably end up hooking mine up to the top of the the shrine with the chain on his other hand. I definitely do like the fact that there is a staircase leading up to the prismatic blade as well I think they did a really great job on this. Next let's talk about the arc Dragon of focus I think they did an amazing job on it we haven't seen a dragon in two tones with two heads since hands of time so it is very nice to take a look at this compared to the older one honestly I kind of thought they reused the golden head from the ultra dragon from a few years back. it looks like Zane's head but they did not I think they did really good on both the purple and gold head. A lot of people were quite worried that it would not look as accurate as in the TV show because of the fact that the gold side of the Dragon is completely Tan on the other side but it is accurate to the show which is good the purple side looks really nice as well I think this is the first time we're seeing a purple dragon which is nice. Now the Play features for this set there's only one where the ark dragon is able to shoot a giant missile out of its stomach which is a little weird but I think it will become more clear when we get to see season 3 of dragons rising. Definitely a contender for one of the best dragons of this year. But that's all I have for this step so let's move on to the price per piece. This set has 869 pieces and retails for $129 Canadian. Now let's move on to my final thoughts.
Honestly this small wave turned out very well and I definitely do like getting two great dragons at once they definitely work well as a set to fight each other honestly my only complaint with the minifigure selection is the fact that Lloyd comes in two sets here so Zane should have at least come in one of these two sets so at least we would have had kind of one of each of the ninjas in between these sets and maybe a jay minifigure to if you put in the sets as well but I guess for the fact that they already put Zane into Ninjago city workshops that they had already covered him already. But that will be a up-and-coming review coming next week so please look forward to my Ninjago city workshops review coming after this one but my issue is still we are not seeing a whole lot of Jay Minifigures moving forward we get one in the dragonian storm village and that's it I feel that we at least should have got one more Jay minifigure in one of these sets. But that is my only complaint moving forward but I would love to hear what you guys have to say about this in the comments but this has been the brick boss with a new Ninjago review and I will see you all in the next one
