Lego CMFS 19 Thoughts ~ Part 1

Helloooo people of amino! Today, I’ll be doing a thoughts blog on the first 8 leaked image of the newest Lego CMF series - series 18. So let’s begin!

The first figure I’m going to call “gamer.” But man I love this guy! Bearing a striking resemblance to Jacksepticeye, the gamer figure comes with with I believe is an older hairpiece that has been recoloured in green.

The face seems generic enough, and could definitely be used for other custom figures.

A unisex torso is always appreciated, and this one looks particularly good to me. There’s also some discreet leg printing with a belt printed on the hip piece too.

The accessories are also intriguing - particularly the game controller piece, which makes me think that this figure will be very popular with people who want to make an arcade MOC or something.

Gamer also comes with a tile, a 2x3, but it’s hard to say exactly what it says.

Here we have Bath Guy, and this is another figure that I really want to pick up. Getting a shirtless Lego figure with just a chest print is actually pretty rare, so this figure should definitely be sought after.

At first, I thought the Bath Guy had a leg print. Upon closer inspection, it would appear to be a skirt piece, like that of Master Wu from the Ninjago movie.

I suppose this is meant to be a towel piece. Regardless, the towel has a really nice little yellow duck print all around it which I find very cute.

The face print is great, and the accessories are also excellent. Getting that new duck piece in a new colour is a massive bonus of this figure!

“Ice Knight” is a weird kind of a figure, in that I’m not entirely certain about what exactly this figure is. Getting a sword in trans-light blue is really nice, though, and so is getting that feather / fire piece in trans-light blue.

The one thing I CAN say about this figure is that I love the colour scheme. The colour scheme flows so well throughout the figure, which you can see for yourself from the second image.

The face print also looks pretty evil, which can definitely have its uses, especially in something like Heroes Forces.

The “Monkey King” is another odd figure. Again, it’s hard to be clear about exactly what this is.

He’s rocking a new(?) hair/ears piece (you can see that later below) and has a stream of what appears to be fire leaving his head. It’s also possible, however, that this is a red feather.

His face print is fine, I’m not sure how much usage it will have though. However, the torso is GREAT, and the great torso print continues onto the legs, making for a very nice design.

He also comes with red or perhaps dark red shoulder pads and a red cloth/cape piece. Nice!

His staff piece accessory isn’t anything special, but hey it’s always nice to get that bar piece in red.

I’ll call her “Tech Girl.” Tech Girl has that new hairpiece in dark brown (a new colour), and a very nice torso print. I hope it’s a unisex torso, because it looks pretty darn neat!

She maybe has leg printing? I think she does but I’m not totally sure.

Her accessory is a little robot thingy which looks fine for what it is, and she also comes equipped with a laptop in white (is that a new colour?).

Good face print too, quite useful.

The Mummy is a figure that feels like a bit of a misfit in this series to me. I’m fairly certain we’ve got an Egyptian warrior kind of figure in a previous CMFS, and this figure bears resemblance to that figure. In fact, it looks the undead mummified version of that figure!

The headdress is a recolour of the original one, with some good gold printing too! The torso and legs are also printed rather well with the bandages and gold accents

Is this Johnny Thunder? I dunno! But man it looks like him!

I like this figure a LOT! I always do like those explorer figures, and this one is no exception. The print is just really nice on the torso, he gets a big ol’ backpack and a magnifying glass too.

But what excites me the most about this figure is the brand new mould for a chameleon! Lego previously did a chameleon mould a few years back for Pascal from “Tangled,” but this is a brand new and more detailed piece. Really useful for zoo MOCs!

Overall I really want to pick up this Johnny Thunder looking guy.

Ending on a bit of a low note, this is the new fire fighter figure. I mean, she has a new helmet hair piece which I suppose can be used, but the figure doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

The torso and legs look very familiar to firefighter figures we’ve gotten before, so there’s nothing that exciting about this figure. However, she does come with a relatively new speaker piece with a print on it, and her new hat/hair piece may entice people to look for her.
