Bricks and Pieces - Haul #2

Hey there! Welcome to another one of my haul blogs, where I showcase the pieces that I have ordered - usually from either Bricklink or directly from Lego Shop itself! Anyway, today’s haul comes from Bricklink, so let’s get into it!

So as usual, let’s start off with the haul as I received it!

Here is everything as it appeared when I removed the contents from the box. After removing the bubble wrap, a clearer image of the parts I received can be seen below.

When I do these blogs, I like to arrange all of the parts by colour to make it easy for you guys to see exactly what pieces I got!

Starting with the white pieces!

I’m currently in the process of making a old Lego village, kind of drawing inspiration from the Old World portions of Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks. Hence most of these white bricks are going to be used for exactly that!

The arch pieces along with the curved slope pieces will be used to create a large circular frontal window on one of the more important buildings in the village. I’ll dive into that further in the future... :hatching_chick:

Here we have all of the black pieces that I ordered from bricklink. I ordered a variety of black tiles such as 1x4 and 1x12 tiles because, again, I used them for my village MOC.

Those little lattice style windows will also definitely be used in the village as they have quite an old-time feel to them. Certainly they wouldn’t appear in a city.

Some slopes are here too, which will be used for roofing, and the modified plates will be used for the aforementioned large window.

Those black clips will also be useful for holding lanterns and other small decorations. :izakaya_lantern:

Here we have the grey pieces that I ordered, but there isn’t too many of them!

The 1x8 track pieces will be used for sliding doors like in the Ninjago city, which will fit with the village theme quite well.

Those A-pieces as well as the wedge plates will be used to create a nice stone stair effect, as seen in the Temple of Airjitzu. 🌪

I ordered 6 of those 1x2 modified bricks which have the actual brickwork design on them. I love those pieces! Unfortunately, I never seem to have enough in my collection! The exposed brickwork makes buildings feel older and perhaps a bit worn, which is exactly what I’m going for with the village moc.

Lastly, I ordered 2 of the new-ish 2x1 2/3 modified bricks because they’re becoming increasingly useful in builds.

Brown! Oh boy, there’s a good few pieces here!

Most of the pieces here are fairly self-explanatory. The tiles will be used as exterior wood ling detail on building, the plates will be used for structural detail, and the bricks will be used for building up the structures!

However, some pieces require a bit more of an explanation.

I’ve never owned one of these tree-trunk pieces before, so I was glad to get my hands on this one. I think this could have its uses, but I’m not sure how I’m going to get the tree to stand up... :cherry_blossom:

I’ve wanted a paintbrush piece for a LONG time, and finally I just said “hey - why not buy it?” So here it is!

Those 1x1 pyramid type pieces have been out for a while now, but this is the first time I’ve owned them in brown. Still not sure entirely what I’ll do with these, but I’ll find something!

Those brown vines up above will be used for the base of a tree as root detailing.

That brown window will be used in a village building too - I’m trying to give each village building a different look, so I’m switching up the techniques I’m using for each house.

That brown container will be paired with the white drawer that I ordered and can be seen up above with the white pieces!^^

I haven’t had this before and I love the look!

Uh... these. I didn’t actually order these pieces... I actually ordered the newer style of plant base piece with the bar in the bottom. Unfortunately the seller made a small mistake and sent me these instead. Hopefully the seller will send me the correct parts soon.

And finally we come to the little section of pieces that have their own little “unique” section!

Everything here is pretty darn cool. That printed 2x2 circular tile will be useful for a special resident in the village, whereas the Possessed Green Ninja face will be useful for an idea I have about the future of Heroes Forces. :eyes: :ghost:

Little glass windows are in short supply in my collection, so it’s great to get more of them! I might use them for a office MOC or something. We’ll see.

That gold lattice style window will be used within the village, as will the green vine pieces.

Now, that other minifig head actually has an alternate expression which I forgot to photograph. The other face shows that he’s crying! I don’t have any crying minifig faces, so this could end up being VERY useful.

Finally, that purple crystal has an Egyptian Eye of Horus symbol on it. That will be useful for the future of Heroes Forces....🏜

I hope you enjoyed the blog! Coincidentally, the Possessed Green Ninjago face was the one piece that brought me to this store to begin with! Everything else kind of just got added to the basket and purchased....heh...
