Do you have a level requirement

to make posts?

I personally have never set a level

requirement for posting, usually I'd

encourage posting early on. I

think it's definitely useful especially

for promotion based communities

where may just to

promote.

we do not have a post blog type level requirement but do for link post type and image post type so can get level up to open those choices creates activity by encourage with reward of being able to do more in the community with some effort.

No, no level requirement for posting blogs. There may be a level requirement for posting a wiki in one of my communities. Not sure why that’s there. It was done before I was there. As for my other communities, there’s no level requirement. I don’t see a purpose. How are people supposed to level up if they can’t post. And yeah I know reading and chatting etc will level up, but it takes a while. How can you expect someone to post an icebreaker if you don’t allow them to post until a certain level? Seems counterproductive to me.

No, we don’t. We used to, mostly to prevent trolls from being able to and spam post. But it prevented new from being able to post and was discouraging for them so we changed it back.
