How do you regain activity in an almost dead community?

Greetings, LA!

I have a little question about ways to gain activity, because I feel like we've been trying everything we can to get the activity back up to the way it once was.

We have tried events, challenges, polls, weekly questions, certain groups to apply for, monthly ways to earn coins, and it just does not help.

If any of you have tips on how to handle this, we would really appreciate it.

Here's what helped me:

1. broadcasts. a well worded broadcast does wonders - just try to schedule them when people are typically online.

2. chatroom activity. if you yourself are active within chatrooms(and in general, like with posts), people follow suit. if the staff isn't active people are not compelled to be active themselves. general engagement with the community really helps activity wise.

3. if you have an rp amino, rp events are far more effective than ooc challenges. of course, if it isn't an rp community, this tip wouldn't help lol.

there's more that's all I can at the moment :')

Well right now there’s a bug impacting online s (which means it’s probably impacting activity, too), so it’s probably best to wait until that’s fixed before doing much of anything
