The mechanism of the law of attraction is on 100% of the time for everyone: for me, for you and for the rest of the 7 billion people in the world, whether they may or may not know what the LoA is. That means everyone who has ever liked a spacific person, thought about being with them and then actually got into a romantic relationship with them has naturally manifested that person.
So if we always manifest people naturally, why would it be wrong manifesting people deliberately?
First off, to clear the air:
No you are not 'forcing' them to love you back. Don't know where people are pulling that out from.

Of course, not everyone wants a spacific person, some people just want a relationship. This is not reffering to those people.

What happens when you see someone you like?
You start thinking about them more, you start thinking about them more in a spacific way, in a romantic way. You're not thinking about other people in that way, you're thinking about them in that way; so they've moved into a particular category in your mind.

You naturally start, almost with having nearly no awareness of it, imagining yourself being with them, you imagine them smiling at you, them laughing with you, holding hands, having conversations, going places; this is a natural process that happens to us. Now what goes wrong, for people whether they are trying to manifest or not, they have limiting thoughts, limiting ideas, limiting beliefs: they don't feel like they're worthy of having what they want, they think the person is out of their league.
So you see that person you like, start imagining yourself with them but something in your mind triggers it to say 'no, you can't be with that person because of X'

Manifesting a spacific person is really easy. You're already naturally an ace at it.
So if you stop to think about your spacific person which direction does your mind drift? On the Positive side or the Negative?
Get rid of the belief that they don't love you. They can only reflect back to you what you think they are feeling. If you believe they don't love you, there is no way they can.

So if I am able to change their view of myself is there a possibility to attract love from them as well?

What I mean is changing the perception you think they have about you into somethinh positive will make them be attracted to you (if thats what youre trying to manifest). But self-love/self-respect also plays an important role in it as it will make it easier for you to be loved by others if you already love yourself. Where it often goes wrong for people trying to manifest a spacific person is the limiting thoughts and beliefs they have about themselves for example 'I am not worthy of him'. Insead of telling yourself those things try and give yourself affirmations like 'I am worthy of his love' and so and so. If you find it hard to believe this then i suggest just putting intention on it for example: 'I intend for him to love me'
As I said when you like someone you think about them in a certain way already, I suggest that you just let go of all these limiting beliefs and the intent of trying to manifest him and enjoy the process of having a love interest in this person. Just visulise yourself with him because you enjoy it not because you want to manifest. I find people manifesting things much easier and faster when they do this instead of trying to as they are more detached and in sync with the universe, but any way can work, he will come to you sooner or later either way. that you are the God of your own reality.

Whenever I search for material related to manifesting love from a specific person, most of the time it says it is not possible because everyone has their free will. That may be true, but there are so many couples united when one person likes another and then attracts them. How would that happen then?
Everyone is you pushed out. You can't control other people's decisions but you can control what they perceive you as and how they feel about you. Others don't see you the same way you see yourself, they see you the way you think they see you. You have already created everyone's individual view of yourself and by changing your beliefs you can reshape them.
