Hey there. I'm a sucker for a good story, and I like writing. So here I am, back at it again with my crappy writing. I got the idea for this short story because it's been raining all day here in Arizona (I know, incredible, right?), so it put me in a mood. A good mood, so why not write a story?
And in case you haven't noticed, whenever I write a short story, I write based off how I feel. So, if I ever write a short story, just know it's based off my emotions at the time
Anyways, here it is.
And by the way, I threw in my OC, so I hope y'all don't mind that too much (>////<)

The sound of children chatting buzzed in the stuffy classroom. Raindrops pattered on the windows, pouring down from the grey clouds outside. The class had to stay inside until the rain stopped, which wasn't going to happen any time soon. Not that it mattered much anyway. The day was almost over.
Tobias brushed his hair out of his face and glanced around the classroom. He caught a glimpse of Alanna drawing a picture of a rabbit. He saw Clover drawing on her arm with a pen. Angel was across the room shooting spit wads at other kids. Lola was reading a book near the back of the class. Kevin had his feet kicked up on his table and was chatting loudly with Iker. Tobias rolled his eyes. Typical last hour.
Tobias kept on looking across the classroom, studying it. It wasn't a small classroom, though it seemed so with all the desks and kids cluttered in it. All of a sudden, he felt a sharp pain on the side of his face. He whipped around to see Clover looking at him. She has flung her pen at his head.
"Do you know what time we get out of here?" Clover queried.
"In a few minutes," Tobias retorted. He picked up the pen and slid it back over to her crossly. Clover took it and continued drawing on her arm.
Tobias tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for the bell to ring. One minute ed, then two, then three. After what seemed like an eternity, the bell rang furiously, and all the kids leapt from their seats and dashed out the door. Tobias was the last to leave. He dragged behind slowly, and eventually reached the front doors to the school.
He stood their for a moment in the rain. The cold air chilled him to the bone, but in a way, it was soothing. Tobias inhaled, the smell of the rain ing through his body. A large raindrop landed on his glasses, and he let it race down the thin glass. At that moment, Tobias heard a faint growling sound behind him, and a large, faint shadow loomed over him. It was back.
Black goo dripped from the demon hovering above him. As the goo touched the ground, it disappeared. The demon leaned over Tobias, and he lay a hand on the monster. Tobias stood there for a couple heartbeats, but all of a sudden, the doors swung open. The demon vanished, quick as lightning. David threw his arms around Tobias's neck in a friendly manner.
"Hey Tobi!" David chirped.
"Hey David," Tobias responded.
"What are you doing standing here?"
Tobias hesitated before answering. "Just looking at the raindrops."

You’re vary symbolic with your storytelling. I like that!
Here’s a good book you might like with the same style as you write.
It’s called:
Because of Winn Dixie.
It’s still one of my favorite books today!
The book is very emotionally driven. So once it hits IT HITS.

Trust me it’s a good read! The book is a bit older. Like early 2000s but nothing you shouldn’t have too much trouble with.
I read this book in third grade. I read it again in high school and OMG. I knew what was bound to happen.
Since I was older it really spoke to me. The ending.
Also the game The Legend Of Zelda: Majoras Mask.
If you have a chance to play that game do it! If you catch onto the themes of that game it will touch you.
I READ THAT IN SECOND GRADE AND I LOVED THE BOOK SO MUCH MY TEACHER LET ME KEEP IT (I think... I may have kept it too long by accident but I'm sure she gave it to me)
