⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥀 Bom dia! Meu nome é Muse(de musa) e normalmente eu uso they/them. Quero apresentar uma parte do meu projeto de reescrita dedicado a “Miraculous”, inspirado no “Ladybug PV” e na série oficial. Este é um projeto onde pego em partes da história de Miraculous e em ideias descartadas do vídeo promocional de 2012.

A minha reescrita de Miraculous começou apenas com a vontade de redesenhar a Ladybug — algo que andava a tentar há anos. Finalmente atingi um nível de detalhe no desenho com o qual estou, por fim, satisfeite, decidi reunir alguns (não todos) dos esboços, conceitos e ideias que fui criando durante o processo de worldbuilding, tudo num único post.

Este é um projeto colaborativo com uma amiga, então, se ela entrar nesta comunidade, começarei a marcá-la também. As decisões finais geralmente acontecem com a opinião dela — especialmente em partes importantes como os trajes da Ladybug e do Chat Noir, a dinâmica dos vilões e afins. O nome dela é Uni (de Universe).

{Origem}

O mundo, no início, era nada. Tudo começa algures — até mesmo no vazio.

E nesse vazio vivia um ser quase divino: Null, o kwami do nada. Ele prosperava no vazio, onde a ausência parecia ser tudo. Durante milénios, Null deleitou-se no conforto silencioso da não existência — até que o universo nasceu.

Com o universo veio Tikki, o kwami da criação.

E dela, eventualmente, surgiu o seu oposto: Plagg, o kwami da destruição.

Foi então que Null descobriu que também tinha um oposto.

Alguns humanos acreditam que os opostos são almas gêmeas — duas metades de um todo, destinadas a precisar um do outro.

Mas Null? Null via-a como um incómodo.

Gimmi — kwami da realidade. De tudo o que foi, é, será e está por vir.

Ela não era apenas o seu oposto. Era o fruto do amor entre Tikki e Plagg — nascida do carinho que sentiam um pelo outro. E por isso, era a mais forte de todas. Uma ameaça à existência de Null.

Um a um, novos kwamis surgiram — brilhantes, poderosos, cheios de vida.

O paraíso silencioso de Null desvaneceu-se em memória.

Já não era o único. Já não era o mais forte. A sua existência, antes singular e sagrada, agora tinha de ser partilhada.

E Null odiava isso.

Por isso, um dia, tomou uma decisão.

Usaria o poder de Gimmi para mudar a realidade.

Null pediu a Tikki e a Plagg que se fundissem mais uma vez. Foi honesto quanto às suas intenções. Mas eles recusaram.

Desesperado, Null forjou os Miraculous — joias feitas de metais divinos que nenhum humano poderia replicar.

Dentro delas, prendeu os kwamis, transformando deuses em servos de mortais escolhidos.

Prendeu tantos quantos conseguiu. Mas Null não podia fazer o desejo sozinho — não sem ajuda.

Então matou um humano e usou a sua pele para enganar os outros.

Enquanto estava distraído, os kwamis que ainda estavam livres resgataram Tikki e Plagg, fugindo para a Terra.

Lá, esconderam-se — procurando aliados humanos que um dia pudessem levantar-se contra Null.

Porque Null, apesar de todo o seu poder, é inferior à maioria dos kwamis.

Mas… e se tivesse um humano?

Félix Fathom (Chat Noir) é um jovem de 18 anos emocionalmente negligenciado, que está a ser preparado para, um dia, herdar o império de moda do pai. Não tem verdadeiros interesses, hobbies ou paixões — só actividades extracurriculares e um único amigo(Nino) que consegue pô-lo a sorrir. Também faz trabalhos como modelo para a marca do pai, e é um rapaz bastante alto.

Bridgette Meilin Dupain-Cheng (Ladybug), por outro lado, é cheia de paixões — arte, bijuteria artesanal, moda, pastelaria — faz um pouco de tudo. Os pais são donos da padaria mais popular de Paris, e ela vem de um lar seguro e estável. Naturalmente, está no curso de moda — claro que está! Costuma personalizar roupas que compra e também cose as suas próprias.

Os dois conhecem-se quando a Bridgette muda de escola, já no segundo ano do secundário. Reconhece-o de imediato — colecciona algumas das revistas em que ele aparece. Não se deram bem logo à partida, e a Bridgette parecia um pouco maluca a tentar tanto falar com ele.

O misterioso CEO da Perg—uma empresa vilanesca envolta em segredos—de alguma forma conseguiu pôr as mãos em Miraculous suficientes para formar o seu próprio grupo de crime organizado, juntamente com dois portadores enigmáticos que estão mais do que dispostos a transformar a vida dos heróis num verdadeiro inferno enquanto espalham o caos por todo Paris.

Forçando a Tikki e o Plagg a procurar portadores, até que finalmente encontram o par perfeito — a Bridgette e o Félix.

Só depois de receberem os seus Miraculous é que as suas vidas mudam de verdade.

Félix começa a interessar-se mais por si próprio — tenta novos atempos e torna-se mais educado com a rapariga que tanto insistia em aproximar-se.

Bridgette aprende o valor da responsabilidade — começa a ser mais ponderada nas suas acções e, em vez de o convidar directamente para sair, oferece-lhe coisas feitas por ela mesma. E resulta. Tornam-se amigos.

Ladybug e Chat Noir, no entanto… isso já é outra história.

Bridgette

Esta peça levou-me 14 horas e 20 minutos. Foi um processo longo, mas vou tentar manter curto!

Não trabalhei em tudo ao mesmo tempo. Comecei com um esboço de manequim e explorei vários designs de fato no lado direito, a pensar em coisas como a herança da Bridgette e tons mais escuros. Ainda gostava de ter posto branco algures, mas como me inspirei mais na versão PV, acho que ficou bem!

O render 3D foi ideia da Uni—ela queria que eu tentasse algo no estilo Spiderverse, então usei as minhas skills de render pra isso. Engraçado: nem cheguei a esboçar a cara dela antes de pintar a cabeça, e afinal não foi assim tão difícil! Os Chibis também começaram com bases de manequim—pintei os corpos primeiro e planeava desenhar os outfits depois (ainda não existiam nessa altura).

Assim que acertei com o design do fato, ei para o esboço final da ref. A partir daí foi mais fácil porque já tinha uma ideia clara do que queria, e as feições da Bridgette já estavam desenhadas no meu sketchbook. Depois desenhei o visual civil dela.

A folha da Bridgette até surgiu de forma bem natural, o que me chocou, porque o Félix tem-me dado cabo da cabeça. Tive de refazer coisas como o lineart e os esboços nas duas versões da Bridgette, mas valeu a pena. Curiosidade: o vestido rosa foi feito por ela, o bordado da saia roxa foi costurado à mão e o cardigan é crochetado—também por ela! Até o colar com missangas foi feito à mão, e isso vai ter importância mais tarde heheh.

Atrasei-me a postar isto porque achei que conseguia tratar de tudo de uma vez… mas estou a perceber que não dá. Burnout é real, e eu fico cansada. Mas estou quase a acabar o Félix também, por isso boas notícias pra quem está à espera. Gosto de pensar que o deixei giro? Talvez?

Ah, e queria MESMO dar feições asiáticas à Bridgette, porque sempre critiquei a série por ignorar isso. Inspirei-me na moda de rua asiática (mas não muito moderna), porque queria que ela parecesse tipo “filha de uma padeira”—não me perguntes porquê, mas isso pra mim grita fantasia. O cabelo à Ladybug? 100% inspirado na Usagi do Sailor Moon. Roubo descarado, eu sei.

Félix

Esta peça levou-me 21 horas e 3 minutos—oficialmente o desenho em que ei mais tempo. Honestamente, estou mesmo feliz com o resultado, e mesmo que estes comentários me surpreendam (porque costumo ficar brain dead depois dos mood boards), parece que estou só a verbalizar memória muscular—estranho, mas divertido.

Na verdade comecei pela folha do Chat Noir, mesmo achando anatomia masculina horrível—é tipo a minha câmara de tortura pessoal. O design da Ladybug veio-me naturalmente, mas o do Chat Noir exigiu muitas tentativas, especialmente no corpo inteiro. Permiti-me traçar em alguns casos, coisa que normalmente não faço muito, mas desta vez precisava de um resultado específico. Traçar ajudou-me a perceber como queria que a roupa caísse, e sinceramente, valeu a pena.

Tal como da última vez, comecei com o render da cabeça e o manequim. O fato do Chat Noir foi bem rápido de montar—tinha uns três designs e depois um quarto que juntava elementos dos outros. Fiquei surpreendide que a Uni preferiu o look com calças largas, mas depois de me habituar a desenhá-lo, também comecei a curtir!

O corpo inteiro levou duas tentativas. Primeiro tracei uma pose, mas não batia com a vibe que queria, então descartei e comecei do zero. Depois de mais umas tentativas falhadas, voltei a traçar para acertar na queda do tecido—era mais sobre a roupa do que a anatomia.

A parte mais difícil? Vestir o Chibi Félix. Levei três tentativas inteiras até encontrar um outfit que me agradasse minimamente. Se a velhice não me matar, desenhar mata.

Apesar de tudo isso, estou SUPER orgulhose de como ficou. A peça tem centenas de camadas, o que é um inferno pra navegar, mas ainda consigo dar a volta.

Moonlit Excursion

Isto levou-me tipo PELO MENOS 19 horas a fazer.

Demorei tanto por causa da pose. Comecei a explorar e continuei a mudar coisas MESMO NO LINEART!

Foi muita mudança 🥲

Inicialmente, a pose estava meio rígida, e eu sabia disso, então só a pose ocupou grande parte, se não a maioria, dessas 19 horas, porque continuei a alterar/ajustar.

Há MUITOS esboços depois destes esboços, alguns feitos depois do lineart :sob:

Mas descobri truques para melhorar a experiência, então yay!

Se vocês também têm dificuldade em desenhar personagens a segurar coisas, tipo eu, TIREM FOTOS VOSSAS, VIREM-SE FOTÓGRAFOS :sob: :sob: :sob:

Tive de posar com a minha espada de cosplay E traçar por cima para depois corrigir a anatomia, depois de 3 tentativas só com referências e adivinhações. Não sejam teimosos como eu, às vezes traçar é bom, só se certifiquem de creditar (se não forem fotos vossas, e mesmo assim).

Uma coisa que traçar/referenciar de fotos reais NÃO vai ajudar, é o flow. Se são como eu e não fazem realismo, têm de brincar com as formas. Aprendi isso ao ter de redesenhar o braço da Ladybug várias vezes. Só ficou certo quando desenhei uma espécie de ‘S’ solto e fui ver referências de magical girls.

﹝Designs﹞

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥀 Os meus designs ainda não estão terminados! Dá muito trabalho concluir apenas um, mas como podem ver pelas várias imagens que decidi partilhar, ponho mesmo muito cuidado em cada detalhe que compõe uma personagem. As personagens que planeio desenhar a seguir são a Alya, o Luka, a Rose, a Juleka e o Gabriel — sem contar com os kwamis. Os meus kwamis terão, na maioria, designs originais, exceto a Tikki e o Plagg, porque não estou a incluir o resto do elenco. Nesta versão, a Ladybug e o Chat Noir são os únicos heróis.

Os outfits da Bridgette foram feitos com a intenção de refletir o seu gosto por trabalhos manuais. Ela cria as próprias peças, personaliza e reutiliza o que já tem, por isso o estilo dela será o mais variado. O Félix, sendo um modelo inicialmente vestido pelo pai, usa moda masculina de alta classe, com um aspeto muito arrumado — ao contrário do Félix do cânone, que usa o cabelo penteado para trás.

A Chloé recebeu apenas roupas de adolescente mais caras, e dei ao Nino um visual mais descontraído, porque combina com ele!

A Lila ainda é um segredo, mas dei-lhe um conjunto simples porque ela é uma mentirosa patológica. O estilo dela e o seu verdadeiro orçamento não condizem com o estilo de vida luxuoso e caro sobre o qual mente com tanto orgulho.

I want to present a part of my rewrite project dedicated to “Miraculous”, inspired by the “Ladybug PV” and the official series. This is a project where I take parts of the Miraculous story and discarded ideas from the 2012 promotional video.

My Miraculous rewrite began simply with the desire to redesign Ladybug — something I had been trying to do for years. I finally reached a level of detail in the drawing that I’m, at last, satisfied with. I decided to gather some (not all) of the sketches, concepts, and ideas I’ve been creating throughout the worldbuilding process, all in a single post.

This is a collaborative project with a friend, so if she s this community, I’ll start tagging her too. Final decisions usually happen with her input — especially for important parts like the Ladybug and Chat Noir suits, villain dynamics, and such. Her name is Uni (as in Universe).

The world, at first, was nothing.

Everything begins somewhere—even in nothingness.

And within that nothingness lived a god-like being: Null, the kwami of nothingness.

It thrived in the void, where absence felt like everything. For millennia, Null basked in the silent comfort of non-existence — until the universe was born.

With the universe came Tikki, the kwami of creation.

And from her, eventually, came her opposite: Plagg, the kwami of destruction.

That was when Null discovered it, too, had an opposite.

Some humans believe opposites are soulmates—two halves of one whole, destined to need each other.

But Null? Null saw her as a nuisance.

Gimmi — kwami of reality. Of everything that was, is, will be, and is yet to be.

She was the product of Tikki and Plagg’s love—fused from the care they held for one another. And because of that, she was the strongest of them all. A threat to Null’s existence.

One by one, new kwamis emerged — bright, powerful, full of life.

Null’s silent heaven faded into memory.

It was no longer the only one. No longer the strongest. Its existence, once singular and sacred, now had to be shared.

And Null hated that.

So, one day, it made a decision.

It would use Gimmi’s power to change reality.

Null asked Tikki and Plagg to fuse once more. It was honest about its intentions. But they refused.

Desperate, Null forged the Miraculous — jewels made of divine metals no human could replicate.

Within them, it bound the kwamis, turning gods into servants of chosen mortals.

It imprisoned as many as it could. But Null couldn’t make the wish alone — not without help.

So it killed a human and wore their skin to deceive the others.

While it was distracted, the remaining free kwamis rescued Tikki and Plagg, fleeing to Earth.

There, they hid — seeking out human allies who might one day rise against Null.

Because Null, despite all its power, is lesser than most kwamis.

But… what if it had a human?

Félix Fathom (Chat Noir) is an emotionally neglected 18-year-old being prepared to one day inherit his father’s fashion empire. Bridgette Meilin Dupain-Cheng (Ladybug), on the other hand, is full of ions — art, handmade jewelry, fashion, baking — she does a bit of everything. Her parents own the most popular bakery in Paris, and she comes from a safe and stable home. Naturally, she’s in the fashion program — of course she is! She often customizes clothes she buys and also sews her own.

The two meet when Bridgette changes schools in her second year of high school. She recognizes him immediately — she collects some of the magazines he appears in. They didn’t get along right away, and Bridgette seemed a little crazy trying so hard to talk to him.

The mysterious CEO of Perg — a villainous company shrouded in secrets — somehow managed to get his hands on enough Miraculous to form his own organized crime group, along with two enigmatic holders who are more than willing to turn the heroes’ lives into a true hell while spreading chaos across all of Paris.

Forcing Tikki and Plagg to search for holders, until they finally find the perfect pair — Bridgette and Félix.

Only after receiving their Miraculous do their lives truly change.

Félix begins to take more interest in himself — tries new hobbies and becomes more polite to the girl who insisted so much on getting close to him.

Bridgette learns the value of responsibility — starts to be more thoughtful in her actions and, instead of directly asking him out, offers him things she made herself. And it works. They become friends.

Ladybug and Chat Noir, however… that’s another story.

Bridgette

This piece took me 14 hours and 20 minutes. It was a long process, but I’ll try to keep it short!

I didn’t work on everything all at once. I started with a mannequin sketch and explored a bunch of suit designs on the right side, keeping stuff like Bridgette’s heritage and darker tones in mind. I still kind of wish I added some white somewhere, but since I mostly took inspiration from the PV version, I think it turned out fine!

The 3D render was Uni’s idea—she wanted me to try something Spiderverse-style, so I used my rendering skills for that. Funny thing: I didn’t even sketch her face before painting the head, and it wasn’t even that hard?! The Chibis also started as mannequin bases—I painted the bodies first and planned to design the outfits after (they didn’t exist yet at that point).

Once I nailed the suit design, I moved on to the final ref sketch. Things got easier from there since I already knew what I wanted, and Bridgette’s features were already sketched separately in my sketchbook. Then I drew her civilian look.

Bridgette’s sheet actually came together pretty naturally, which shocked me, because Félix has been destroying my soul. I had to redo things like the lineart and sketches for both versions of Bridgette, but it was worth it. Fun fact: the pink dress was made by her, the purple skirt’s embroidery is hand-stitched, and the cardigan is crocheted—also by her! Even the little beaded necklace is handmade, and that’ll matter later heheh.

I delayed posting this because I thought I could handle everything in one go… but I’m realizing I can’t. Burnout is real, and I get tired. I’m almost done with Félix too, so good news for those waiting. I like to think I made him look cute? Maybe?

Oh, and I REALLY wanted to give Bridgette Asian-inspired features because I used to criticize the show for ignoring that. I pulled from Asian street fashion (but not super modern), because I wanted her to feel like a “baker’s daughter”—don’t ask me why, that just screams whimsy to me. Her Ladybug hair? 100% inspired by Usagi from Sailor Moon. Shameless, I know.

Félix

This piece took me 21 hours and 3 minutes—officially the longest I’ve ever spent on a single drawing. Honestly, I’m really happy with how it turned out, and even though these little commentary bits surprise me (because I usually go brain-dead after mood boards), it feels like I’m just putting muscle memory into words—which is weird, but fun.

I actually started with Chat Noir’s sheet, even though I find male anatomy horrible—it’s like my personal torture chamber. Ladybug’s design came to me naturally, but Chat Noir’s took a lot of trial and error, especially the full body. I let myself trace in some spots, which I don’t normally do much, but this time I needed a specific result. Tracing helped me figure out how I wanted the clothes to fall, and honestly? Worth it.

Just like last time, I started with the head render and mannequin. Chat Noir’s suit came together pretty quickly—I had about three designs and a fourth that mixed elements. I was surprised Uni liked the parachute pants look, but once I got used to drawing it, I actually started loving it too.

The full body took two tries. I first traced a pose, but it didn’t match the vibe I wanted, so I scrapped it and started from scratch. After a few more failed attempts, I traced again to get the fabric fall right—it was more about the clothes than the anatomy.

The hardest part? Dressing Chibi Félix. It took me three whole attempts just to find an outfit I kind of liked. If old age doesn’t get me, drawing will.

Despite all that, I’m SUPER proud of how it turned out. The piece has hundreds of layers, which makes it a nightmare to navigate, but I still manage to find my way around.

Moonlit Excursion

This took me somehow AT LEAST 19 hours to make.

It only took that long because of the posing. I started off exploring and kept making changes EVEN DURING THE LINEART!

That’s a lot of changes 🥲

At first, the posing was kind of stiff, and I knew that, so the posing alone ate up a big chunk—if not most—of those 19 hours, cause I kept tweaking it.

There’s a LOT of sketches after these sketches, some made after the lineart :sob:

I did learn tricks to make things smoother though, so yay!

If you guys struggle with drawing characters holding stuff, like I do, JUST TAKE PICS OF YOURSELF, BECOME YOUR OWN PHOTOGRAPHER :sob: :sob: :sob:

I had to pose with my sword prop AND trace over it to fix the anatomy after 3 separate attempts with just references and guesswork. Don’t be stubborn like me guys—sometimes tracing is good, just make sure to credit your sources (if you’re not using your own photos, and even then).

One thing tracing/referencing real-life pics will NOT help with, is flow. If you’re like me and don’t do realism, you’ve gotta mess with the shapes. I learned that after having to redraw Ladybug’s arm like five times. It only looked right when I did a loose 'S' shape and looked at actual magical girl refs.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥀 My designs are not yet finished! It takes a lot of work to complete just one, but as you can see from the various images I decided to share, I really put a lot of care into each detail that makes up a character. The characters I plan to design next are Alya, Luka, Rose, Juleka, and Gabriel — not counting the kwamis. My kwamis will mostly have original designs, except for Tikki and Plagg, because I’m not including the rest of the cast. In this version, Ladybug and Chat Noir are the only heroes.

Bridgette’s outfits were made with the intention of reflecting her love for handcrafts. She makes her own pieces, customizes and reuses what she already owns, so her style will be the most varied. Félix, being a model originally dressed by his father, wears high-class men's fashion, with a very tidy look — unlike canon Félix, who wears his hair slicked back.

Chloé just got more expensive teen clothes, and I gave Nino a more laid-back look, because it suits him!

Lila is still a secret, but I gave her a simple outfit because she’s a pathological liar. Her style and actual budget don’t match the luxurious and expensive lifestyle she so proudly lies about.

Já não pratico gramática portuguesa há quase três anos — e isso nem sequer conta com a minha vida online, que ou a ser toda em inglês há cinco. How did you like the blog? I want to make clear I HAD to get assistance of safari’s resources to translate this properly. I have not practiced Portuguese grammar in almost 3 years, and that’s not even counting my online life, which started being entirely in English 5 years ago. I just made sure that European Portuguese was used cause that’s the one I speak. Any questions you may have, please ask ahead. I am very excited to share!
