Background
An alien species has developed advanced space travel with the use of wormholes, and as crime rates of their strict population increase, they begin to ship away criminals to other planets. One of these aliens ends up on earth. Of course, the government scoops them up quickly, but then more and more start getting sent to earth. By 2000 there were about 40 aliens that have been banished to earth, being held captive by the government.
One day, a very rich man manages to buy one of these aliens. He encourages other rich people to also purchase as many as they can, and they do. Suddenly they all reveal they have aliens in their possession to the public.
By 202X these aliens are almost commonplace amongst rich folks. The aliens get taught human culture and become things like tv stars or trophies to show off. They’re all still criminals though, rebellious tendencies common amongst them. So the humans develop specific wristbands for them with tracking devices in them, and some have shock technology in them to train them.
Movements have begun to happen to try and free the aliens, ‘sentient rights’ being the biggest one. But none have been successful yet. The government usually responds with ‘they were prisoners on their planet so they’re prisoners here.
Plot
One of the newer aliens to end up on earth has recently been bought by a young, rich man. He’s been flaunting him on television frequently, as this one he’s obtained looks young and attractive.
Your character is a human that encounters this alien one day when they’re visiting your character’s town. Their hotel ends up being very close to your character’s residence. After another encounter, your character discovers that the rich man isn’t exactly nice, and the alien decides he’d much rather be with your character instead of the rich man..
The First Exiled
The Valxuls sat in the space pod, cloth over his mouth and metal around his wrists. The seatbelt straps trapped him securely in his seat. He watched the door to the pod slide shut, watching the crowd yell at him from behind the window.
The pod began to rumble, the countdown playing on the screen. It soon reached zero and he was launched into the sky. The pod broke through the atmosphere and began soaring through the nothingness of space. Suddenly a light sparked in front of the pod, and then it flashed brightly, and Ecan lost consciousness.
The pod suddenly shot out of a bright portal, hurtling itself towards the green and blue planet, the randomly chosen new home of the criminal. His eyes opened slowly, watching the planet grow and grow until he broke through the atmosphere, the pod catching fire as it did.
Suddenly the pod was submerged, cold, clear liquid engulfing it until the spherical spacecraft bobbed to the surface, the air being sealed inside perfectly.
A few hours ed and Ecan was starting to give up, but eventually some humans found the craft. A woman watched the green light of the button on the door blink at them. After a brief discussion with the other people there, she pressed the button.
The door slid open with a hiss, and Ecan looked up at them, glaring as a message translated into English played.
