A Detective's Worst Nightmare ¤1x1 Plot¤

New York City, 1941

This is the year that noir, jazz, black and white film, and much more begins to appear into the world. Though the world was already developed with sky ships flying above the dark and cold city, and people going to bars to listen to the mech bands, and getting a drink if they knew a guy. And this is the place where much crime comes to us. Gangs, Mobs, Criminals, much, much more...and many detectives find it difficult to handle at times...besides one; Runae Phillips (My character)

She was very respected in her field, being one of the lesser liked female detectives around, one reason being there were barely any at all, and that she was very good at catching the criminals of downtown and other areas of the large city. She didn't talk to many people though, and lived alone...she was a bit of an asshole.

One rainy, dreary night, she was looking over papers and papers, all on witness s, evidence, autopsies, and so much more, just to solve the hardest mystery of her career thus far. There had been a long string of horrid murders and thefts all through the city, and Runae was the last detective to try and solve it. It was on the tip of her tongue to know who did it, she knew that.

The crack of bright lightning and thunder got her out of her daze of thoughts, and she noticed the note on the ground that came threw her small hole of a mail slot. She stood from her small couch and walked over to it, taking it and reading it over; it seemed to be from the killer.

He'd asked to meet her in an alley two or three corners down the street as soon as she got the note, at one o'clock at night, which was an hour away. She hesitated in thought, imagining this was a sick joke...but she had to take the chance, right?

My Roleplaying Rules

1. Be Semi-literate to literate PLEASE, I AM FLIPPIN' BEGGIN' HERE. At least 3 sentences, and being literate is fine, too (I'm still learning to be literate tho, so)

2. My character is a FEMALE. Please have your character as a MALE. A dominant male as well, since...ya' know...murders.

3. NO smut.

4. I'm fine with swearing, romance, and gore (obviously)

5. This'll be around the time of classic film noir and other things you'd imagine in this time period, so please don't be modern. And it's steampunk, too, so just go ahead and have fun with it :P
