I never really watched the original Tron, or played anything other than DDD&3&UX, but it seems alright. If you’re complaining about the meta-aspect of a digital world inside a video game - would Digimon bother you, being digital monsters inside of a digital media?

The real-world knowledge of KH being a video game doesn’t mean the story itself takes place in a digital setting, it is only conveyed through the digital medium.
