Hey everyone! As you can see on the title, I decided to take part of the #ADVprompts challenge! I meant to post this earlier, but...I got a sugar crash from eating too many cookies on New Year's Eve. XD
Anyway the two numbers I got were 14 and 16. ' I'm Freezing', and 'Ice Cream'. Hehe...boy, did I have one heck of an idea for that. And since I made a Christmas Fanfic for Ventus and Vanitas the last time for the "Hearts For Joy" challenge,
Psst! You can check that out if your interested. Here's the link: HeartsforJoy
I wanted to write what I should've written a long time ago, one if my favorite ships in the Kingdom Hearts Community! The cover should give you the answer. ^-^
Well, enough rambling! I hope you enjoy this! And bye the way, Have a Happy New Year!

Sora was laying on the Paopu Tree as he had his hands behind his head, staring up at the sky. Winter was almost here for him. Despite the islands being a beach, the sun wasn't out, a small breeze was flowing, and the sky was just fill of clouds. Not a single trace of blue to be seen. He had his eyes closed as he was starting to doze off a little.
He just felt the need of coming to the islands. It was not only because it was his home, it was because it would just calm him. Either he was stressed, angry, sad, or even if he had to think. The islands are just where he wants to be. He goes wherever the wind takes him. He feels...at peace when he's like this.
All of a sudden, he felt something like his cheek. He groaned a little as he waved his hand at the thing to get it away. The thing poked his cheek again, and he groaned as he slowly opened his eyes.
"I knew I would find you up here." Sora turned his head and he saw the person talking to him, and he jumped a little.
"R-Riku!" He tried to sit up, but his hand slipped and he yelped as he fell off the tree and hit the ground and he rubbed his head.
"Ow.." Riku chuckled as he smirked a little seeing this.
"You always doze off when you come up here, do you?" He smirked as he stepped over the tree, and gestured his hand out to him. Sora accepted it as Riku helped him onto his feet.
"Well, I'm the 'Lazy Bum' around here." Sora said as he crossed his arms.
"But out of all the worlds we've been to, you always fall asleep here." Riku remarked as Sora pouted and looked away.
"Well, a-anyway, what are you doing here?" He asked, trying to change the subject as Riku leaned against the tree.
"Well...I know it's cold out here, but...here." Riku took out a Sea Salt Ice Cream bar and he gave it to Sora. Sora took the ice cream, and he took a bite out of it. Sora smiled a little as he recognized the taste of it.
"Salty, but sweet." He said as he sat down on the tree, Riku still standing beside him. But then Sora thought of something. Something...familiar to him.
"What about you, Riku? Did you bring one for yourself?" He asked him.
"Yeah, I did." He said as he took it out. Riku then sat up on the tree next to Sora as he put his hand on his knee. Sora smiled as he started to eat his ice cream as Riku did the same. Minutes later, Riku finished his as Sora was still eating his. He didn't know why, but it felt like he needed to do this. Like he wanted to relive the glory days all over again.
"It's been a while since we last sat down like this." Riku said, dragging Sora out of his thoughts.
"Yeah...it's been a long time." Sora said as he looked down at the ground. "Before...you know what happened.."
Riku noticed the nervousness in Sora's voice as concern was on his face now. Regardless, he still let Sora speak.
"I mean...why did all of this have to happen?" Sora tightened his grip on the ice cream stick. "The Darkness, Xehanort, The Keyblade...why did it all have to happen to me?"
"Sora.." Riku went to put his hand on his shoulder, but Sora continued to speak.
"I never asked for this...I never asked for all of this. I may have been happy at some times, but what if I told you...that some of that happiness was fake?" Riku's eyes widened a little as he started to become scared of what Sora was going to say next.
"You know I can't do this, Riku...I can't do any of this! We're just teens! Teens that were dragged into this by force! Not by choice! Force!" Tear fell from Sora's eyes as he grit his teeth.
"...I just feel useless when I'm alone.." He muttered. "But how can I be there for other people if they won't let me?"
Riku was taken aback by this. He never knew Sora felt this way about this. Everything that happened to him, and to everyone else...he never wanted this. Riku hesitated, but he put his hand around Sora's waist, and he held him close to him, as Sora didn't do anything.
"Sora, you're not useless." He said. "You've been there for so many people. You've been there for Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, you've been there for Kairi. You've been there...for me in the past, even when I told you to give up, you still wouldn't stop.
No matter how much strain there was in the future, you still faced the inevitable as if it was a breadcrumb on the trail. I know you didn't ask for this. Believe me, no one did. But all we can do now, is fight for ours and other people's lives. As long as we're together, nothing will be able to stop us."
"..." Sora smiled a little as he closed his eyes and leaned his head against Riku's chest as Riku blushed a little. "...Thanks, Riku...I really needed that.."
"No problem." Riku smiled. "But just finish your ice cream. It's melting."
Sora looked at the ice cream in his hands, and it was indeed melting. Sora laughed a nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Guess I got a little sidetracked, huh?" He asked nervously.
"Hey, it's okay to get things off your chest." Riku assured. "There's nothing wrong with that."
"Yeah.." Sora smiled a little as he continued to eat his ice cream. However, Riku noticed he was eating it a little fast, and he chuckled nervous.
"Uh...Sora? You might want to slow down before you get a-" "OWWW!" Sora dropped the ice cream stick, and he put both his hands on his head.
"...Brainfreeze." Riku finished his sentence as Sora was pounding his fist against the tree, his other hand on his head. Riku couldn't help but laugh seeing this reaction. Sora couldn't help but laugh too as he started to calm down as he sighed.
"O-Okay! I-I'm good...I-I'm good.." Riku noticed his stuttering, and he put his hand on his cheek. Sora blushed a little, but he kind of knew what Riku was doing.
"You're cold." He stated.
"J-Just a little.." Sora agreed as he wrapped his arms around himself, trying to keep himself warm. Riku took off his jacket, revealing he had a gray long sleeved shirt on, and he wrapped it around Sora's shoulders. Sora blushed, but he smiled as he held onto it.
"T-Thanks, Riku.." He said.
"No problem." Riku said as he stood up. Riku looked up at the sky, and he noticed it started to snow. "C'mon. Let's get out of this weather." He helped Sora stand as the two both walked towards the bridge and out of the area.
But the ice cream stick Sora dropped, it had the shape of a small paopu fruit on it, letting them know that every destiny can become intertwined, even the impossible ones.

By Soriku, making the cover image was a lot more harder than I thought it would be! I had a hard time trying to find the images, and put the pictures in it, but it was so worth it in the end! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this. See ya in the next post!
