So the time has finally come for me to talk about why I love Yata Misaki so much. Besides him being completely and utterly adorable there are a lot of great things to talk about in regards to Yata. First of all, I knew I'd like his character from the first episode. He was wild, agressive and a bad ass. But as the episodes went on I realized there was more to him than just some skater kid with a bat. His loyalty and iration for Mikoto is probably one thing I find really endearing about him. He's willimg to fight and risk his life to defend Mikoto, HOMRA, and their honor. He is so young but he's strong, and a leader of sorts to a lot of the HOMRA especially in the second season. Even when the odds are stacked against him and everyone around him, he refuses to just sit down and take it. He takes action and makes a difference. His timing is flawed and he can be super rude at times but at the end of the day he's a kid who wants the people he cares about to be safe and happy. He opened himself up to Fushimi and treated him with love and respect (until the whole 'there goes your pride' thing) he was always there to defend him, even before he got to know him. It's also really sweet that even though he hates his name he lets Anna call him Misaki (I think it's a fine name even if it's 'girly'). Also the fact he's scared of girls is pretty cute, like he's a bad ass Captain in HOMRA with the ability to skateboard along the side of a building and he is afraid of even looking at a billboard of a woman. And I mean just look at him, who wouldn't love that face!
