In memory of Michiyuki Kawashima

On October 9, 2016, vocalist of the rock duo BOOM BOOM SATELLITES, Michiyuki Kawashima ed away at around 5:12 am, local time. Battling from brain tumors for years, suffering to fight for his health. The tumor came back for the 5th and final time in September of 2015. Seeing that there were some difficulties and paralysis, he decided it was best to retired from his music carrier after 20 years to spend more time with his family and friends.

Back in June, bassist, Masayuki Nakano, wrote that it was hard for Kawashima to walk and speak, saying that "he looks like a husk that has poured its very life force into final work."

After the vocalist's death, Nakano wrote:

Their last single was titled "LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME" which has been released in June of 2016.

Funeral services will be held for family and close friends, but a farewell event where fans can participate is being planned. More details will be announced on a later date.

Enon Kawatani Comeback and New Song About the Affair?!

Recently, vocalist of Gesu no Kiwari Otome and indigo la End, Enon Kawatani, has been on the news. From one the biggest controversy of the year, his affair with Becky, to him being caught drinking with his underage girlfriend, Rin Honoka. This time, however, he is considering on writing music about his affair with Becky!

On October 12, Kawatani addressed his plans for the future in response to his previous statement of wanting to make a comeback. Hoping to make a comeback in 2018. Going into further detail for his envision future plans, he stated "Why not [sing] ?" Justifying that the lyrics would be deep and meaningful "when it's all said and done, I just want to make music. Music is everything. I plan on continuing making music not just for myself, not just for [the band] , but for the fans," he said.

Still speaking of remorse and apologizing to the people he hurt and betrayed in life, Katawani left the event with a mask over his face while being swarmed by reporters with questions, in which he did no answer any.

Although he escaped from major consequences from his affair. Becky's career was put on hold.

STU48 at Sea

AKB48 held their 7th annual Jansen Tournament, Team B's Miku Tanabe won. After the Tanabe's win , the formation of AKB48's new sister group was announced on the flashing screen. Their name will be STU48.

They will not be the ordinary sister group. Instead of being based in a city, STU48 will be based in Seto Island Sea, a major part of Japan's geography (connecting the Pacific to the Sea of Japan). Having several major cities such as Osaka and Hiroshima along its coastline.

Their performances will not be in a land-based theatre, since they will not have one. Instead, they will perform in on a ship that sails throughout the Seto Inland Sea.

STU48 will debut in the Summer of 2017.

Winner of AKB48's Tournament

The winner of AKB48's 7th Annual Janken Tournament was none other than Team B's Miku Tanabe.

Being known for her love of beer, she played as a silly drunken businessman. In the final round she competed against Ami Yumoto and when she was announced the winner she broke out of character and went into tears.

Tanabe and Yumoto will be alongside Rena Nozawa, Haruka Komiyama, Fukuoka Kiyoshina, NMB48's Nagisa Shibuyaand SKE48's Saki Tekeuchi as a new 7-member unit.

For those that don't know what the Janken Tournament is. It is an annual event where AKB48 and its sister groups' compete in a contest of rock-paper-scissors. The winner of the event gets to be the center of an AKB48 single, this allows that aren't normally in the lime-light to shine.

Sonar Pocket's ko-dai Hospitalized

With Emergency Medical Issue

Pop trio's, Sonar Pocket, vocalist, ko-dai, had an emergency hospitalize on October 7. He began to complain of poor health and was rushed to the hospital for what seemed to be an "emergency."

However, it has already been revealed that lo-dai has a severe case of pancreatitis.

The Department of Surgery from the University of Southern California has explained acute severe pancreatitis:

"Severe pancreatitis causes the death of parts of the pancreas. The injured and dying pancreas releases digestive enzymes into the abdomen, which causes extensive death of fatty tissue in the abdomen. As a consequence patients with severe pancreatitis have dead pancreatic tissue and also widespread death of fatty tissue around the pancreas. This dead pancreatic tissue is the source of the all problems in patients with severe pancreatitis."

Doctors say that this condition was caused by the build up of bile duct stones

Due to this all of Sonar Pocket's events and appearances have been cancelled for October.

BLUE ENCOUNT 2nd Album

"THE END" is the titled of BLUE ENCOUNT's, 2nd studio album, which will be released in the Spring of 2017.

During the band's first concert at Nippon Budokan, that they had announced the album. Also starting on March 12, 2017 to May 7, 2017 BLUE ENCOUNT will go on a nationwide tour. 10 concerts in 9 venues.
