Is JO1 A Permanent Group Or A Temporary Group?

JO1 is a permanent group.

Before PDJP, all of them were just ordinary young men living lives as private citizens. A few of them have worked within the entertainment industry:

Ren - back dancer for many JPop artists and KPop artists in concerts

Shosei and Keigo - LDH/EXPG graduates. Shosei is from EXPG Osaka, Keigo is from EXPG Nagoya

Ruki - former Johnny's Jr., underground Jrock front man, temporary 2D idol seiyuu, underground idol group (YsR)

Shion - former KPop trainee for only 3 mos

The others:

Mame - high school student, part-time dance teacher for elementary school children

Takumi - factory worker producing boats

Syoya - member of a dance cover group

Junki - unemployed university senior

Sukai - karateka/judoka martial artist

YonaSho - grad student (?)

They are a permanent group. This is due to the fact none of the boys were signed to an agency (as per the sign up requirements of Produce 101 Japan). The group is also not planning to release or promote anything in Korea or in Korean and will follow the Jpop standard.
