So as you guys probably know, our amazing leader's contract has been terminated. I sobbed so hard when I heard this. What will ikon be without him? Groups are never the same without a member, but especially one who did so much for the group. I'm worried about how they will pick themselves up from this with all of these other controversies in yg holding them down already.
I had just gotten over the whole Seungri thing and now this. I had a panic attack wondering why life had to keep piling things up. I'm already having a really hard time in my life right now so this broke me. I wasn't sure what to do. But speculating about the future isn't going to help. I'm going to hope for the best and see what happens. That's all we really can do for now.
On Sunday I was shopping with my mom. And I know I'm probably too old for this, but I saw this penguin stuffed animal on a shelf and I knew I needed to have it. For some reason, out of all the groups I stan and all the names in the world, I chose to name the penguin Hanbin. It seemed to fit right. Then three days later, this happens. How is that a coincidence? He isn't even my bias so I just chose a random name. I'm thinking I must've just known that he was going to go through something and needed my help. I just think it's crazy that this happened so soon after I named this penguin after him.
So what do we do now?
#1. We wait. Don’t spread hate about him or anything like that and don’t jump to conclusions. For me, unlike with the Seungri scandal, even if it was true that Hanbin did this, I wouldn’t find it a big deal. I live in the U.S. where drugs are very common. However, there isn’t any proof that he used the drugs so we shouldn’t assume he did anything wrong. Innocent until proven guilty.
#2. Sign this petition. to let Hanbin know that we don’t feel like he should have to leave ikon. I’ve watched this number get higher and higher all day. We’ve already sured 500,000 signatures. Kpop fans are really powerful. It might not be enough to get him back in the group since his contract has already been terminated. However, it would be great to show YG that we are upset about this and to show B.I. that we still care about him and him.
#3. Chose whichever side you want to , however please don’t spread hate to the opposite side. Real ikonics just want what is best for the group and that could mean either side tbh. Let’s just try to stay positive, binge watch ikon’s videos and others around you who are struggling with the news. We don’t know what will happen but we are so powerful if we work together, like what has happened through that petition. We need to stay together for hope and strength. We will get through this together with ot7 of ikon.

You are such an amazing rapper, songwriter, leader and human being and I will always love you. I hope we will see more of you in the future because I can’t stand the thought of you disappearing completely. I’ve never been heartbroken before, but I think this must be what it feels like. It’s like my world just crumbled. Having so much uncertainty for the future is really stressful and I’m sure you’re feeling that right now as ikonics are as well. But please stay strong and keep your chin up baby. You have so much to offer and I just pray that the world gives you a chance to share it more. You’re only 22, you still have so much life ahead of you and so much potential. If you believe that you made the right decision, then you made the right decision and no one can hate on you for that. I think you knew that this was the best option to save the group and unfortunately the kpop world is not ready to let that not be the case. Sorry we couldn’t do that for you.
