Oh Whippet | Day 1

'Bang! Bang!'

Logan jumped as he walked towards Charlie.

The sky was just breaking into daytime and it was a brilliant shade of orange.

"Hey there, thanks for pickin him up... So this is my new challenge eh?" Said Logan

"Sure is, and all I can say is good luck" Replied Charlie, "He was a challenge and a half to get on the float. Bit of a wild little thing."

"Little?" Logan questioned, puzzled at Charlie's use of words, "He's supposed to be 17hh..."

"Hehe yeah, he's a shorty like you! They nicknamed him Whippet at the track." Charlie chuckled.

"Oh fuck off." Logan said as he rolled his eyes and walked towards the back of the float to let his new stallion, She Talks Too Much out of the trailer.

He began undoing the latches on the float, excited to meet his project in real life.

"Wait! He can unt-" Charlie started.

But he was too late. The stallion shot out of the float as soon as Logan brought the back down slightly, almost squashing him. The thoroughbred started running laps around the arena.

"Well then. Lucky we let him out in the arena." Charlie said

"HOW did he get out?!" Logan yelled, "What happened to tying up a Horse?"

Well you see, he can un-tye ropes..." Charlie replied

Logan laughed, watching the stallion run around the outdoor arena. "Of course he- Charlie!!"

Logan watched in wonder as the stallion galloped toward the side fence and leapt over it.

After a few hours of crazed searching for little Whippet ;)

Logan stood a few metres away from Whippet, edging closer to try to grab his lead rope.

"Ah, gotcha!" He exclimed once he had got ahold of the manic horse. Whippet had barely even broken a sweat. Now that Logan could get a good look at him, he saw that indeed, Whippet was a very small thoroughbred. He was around 15.1hh from Logan's guess.

"Oh well, I guess we already know what discipline you're doing!" He muttered.

Boom bam bang first post done :D

I'm actually pretty happy with the story for once! I snagged She Talks Too Much as my horse, and decided to give him a bit of an interesting story. (Also Logan is a shorty so might as well make Whippet short too xD)
