a “new” oc

trick title because solesti here is actually my oldest oc…. redeg her was a ton of fun though and i found good practice in rendering and character design c: i hope this design better reflects her intimidating personality… she also got a new backstory and now has connections to the highnest guys (think astra, aisen, flute, rastia + every other main oc i have lol). i also added a short comic with her and astra for fun c:

okay so with her rework, sol is now a former-knight captain turned traveling warrior! she was once one of aisen’s most elite soldiers, working closely with astra’s father as one of what’s equivalent to hallownest’s 5 great knights. wielding her strange weapon, the ‘pin missile’ as she calls it, she now wanders the world searching for tough battles and new places. strange how she left highnest so suddenly though…

it’s strange how the sun is her key symbol, with her cold sneer and towering figure. she isn’t much for talk, but her skill in battle more than makes up for it. she wanders with combat in mind, not picking fights often - but giving each battle everything she has - for may all who find themselves under the sun’s light meet a swift end.

and some quick bts/trivia about her!

- despite her appearance, she’s actually quite socially awkward. when she does speak, she keeps her statements short.

- she was and is based off an atlas moth!

- her cloak is still her wings. her bottom wings are adorned with the metal edges and her top wings are her back “cape”.

- when deg her i tried to include as many “sun” shapes as possible.

- her top armor has the same colored markings as astra’s armor! mainly to show they come from the same place

- while she and astra aren’t related, astra //does// look up to her. deep down, sol does appreciate it, but find astra herself very strange.

- the ‘pin missile’ can work as a drill! sol uses it to get through places faster or in battle

thats about it! about the roleplay i mentioned in the previous post however - i do have it mostly set up but i may not make it public as it is a large time commitment on my end and im not fully sure if i can make it work. it’s still a possibility though im unsure. i don’t want to disappoint you all to those who were interested! i apologize for the inconvenience :c
