my name's oxbow! i picked it because it sounded pretty, and because an oxbow lake is the remnants of a river that simplified its course. i'm like leftovers, in the best way. (not like i could call myself stir-fry or french toast.)

i'm a pisces, birthday march fifth. capricorn moon, leo sun. i'm also a hellenic polytheist, which is a fairly big part of my life. i may mention the gods in conversation, but that's because they are important to me, not because i'm trying to push my views or convert anyone. i'm chill, i promise.

i like to read and write. i mostly write poetry (and roleplay responses, naturally) but sometimes i'll buckle down and write a story. i've started writing so many novels and never come close to finishing. i also knit, though i only know how to make beanies. i'm a bit of a gamer as well, some of my favorite games being minecraft, stardew valley and hollow knight. (i'm so bad at hollow knight.)

my favorite bands are fall out boy, green day, pansy division and ajr. i also like the oh hellos, poor man's poison, thesaurus rex, bleachers... the list goes on. i'm also a theatre kid, so, unfortunately, showtunes are in my blood. i did a drag performance to a song from six and i won a hundred dollars.

i've been getting back into the hunger games fandom thanks to sunrise on the reaping. (no spoilers, haven't read it yet.) i'm also in a bunch of other fandoms like the dragon prince. lot of dystopia and fantasy. feel free to ask about anything you think i might be interested in.

i've been roleplaying for... eight years? i'm not as active at it as i used to be, but i like to think i've gotten better at writing. i'm semi-lit to novella depending on the responses i get. i do both 1x1 and group roleplays, but i find that group puts less pressure on me. i take my time to respond — most of my replies take at least twenty minutes, plus i have class during the week. if i don't respond for a few days, that's totally normal, just shoot me a reminder if it's been that long. adhd is my burden.
