Learning the Process

While Victor and Lyra are out to the Pentagram to try and recruit sinners for them to be redeemed, Vaggie made sure to check on Nova every now and then. Nova was ok sleeping in her crib and Vaggie then went to check on Lute.

Vaggie: How's it hanging, bitch?

Lute: Fuck you. You really think having me tied up down here will benefit you?

Vaggie: No, but it's saving us the trouble of dealing with you.

Lute: You know damn well that halfbreed is trouble itself.

Vaggie: She's only a toddler at this time and she is the furthest thing from trouble compared to you.

Lute: She is not going to make it if I have anything to say about it.

Vaggie: Not with those ropes holding your strength back. You know, the whole purpose of life is about learning to adapt and to make mistakes to be able to learn from them in order to be better. But you always remained the same ever since Adam died. That's what separates Lyra from you because she learned how to get used to the environment she's in and look at her now. She's a married mother and you just can't accept that she's better than you in every way since the beginning.
