                  Hii HPA! Alex is back with a veryyyy

                  exciting announcement. Over the past

                  couple months we have been preparing

                  something so extraordinary that will

                  absolutely blow your socks off…

                  The Department of International

                  Magical Cooperation in conjunction

                  with the Department of Magical Games

                  and Sports, I am proud to announce

                  HPA will once again be hosting the

                  beloved Triwizard Tournament!

                 This means that in January Beauxbaton,

                 Durmstrang, and Hogwarts will battle it

                 out again in a competition for the   

                 Triwizard Cup. These challenges will test

                 their test strengths, and abilities to work

                 as a team and the winning team will be

                 crowned champions of the Triwizard

                 Tournament 2024.

                 Many times the tournament has run

                  here on hpa, and it is one of our most

                  beloved events. This year, teams will

                  face new and tougher challenges, ones

                  that will be an even greater test to their

                  wits and the stakes will be even higher

                  for our teams this year than before. If

                  you’ve seen or participated before, this

                  year's challenges are fresh and await

                  our teams to complete them! We are

                  looking for the bravest among our

                  , the cleverest, most ambitious

                  and hard-working, and I challenge each

                  of you to give it a try. You will have the

                  chance to be a team-player and show

                  off your strengths in the month of

                  January.

                On Monday you will have the

                 opportunity to place your name in the

                 Goblet of fire and have the chance to be

                 selected as a champion in hpa’s very

                 own triwizard tournament, but before

                 you throw your names into the goblet, I

                 ask that you read this blog very very

                 carefully.

           Entering your name into the Goblet of

           Fire will ensure your participation, see it

           as a magically binding contract, similar

           to an unbreakable vow.

                  We ask that if you throw your name in

                  you are absolutely sure of your

                  participation and commitment to your

                  team. In this blog you will also find all of

                  the information pertinent to your

                  success in being selected as champion

                  for one of the three school teams, and

                  the tournament itself. If you are unsure

                  of anything please ask, because as Nico

                  said last year - ignorance will cost you

                  everything.

                 Similar to the tournament that layed out

                  for us in the books, the HPA Triwizard

                  Tournament will work similarly. This

                  event is made of three tasks, and each

                  will test each of the champion's wits,

                  strengths, and team-work. As i’ve

                  stated earlier, each of the champions

                  will be directly placed in one of the

                  three European wizarding schools:

                  Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and

                  Hogwarts. Each team will have ten

                  talented students who work together to

                  achieve their eternal glory.

                 Let me lay out the tasks for you…

                  Ten of the most courageous and

                   ambitious students from each school

                   team will take on some of the most

                   challenging tasks HPA offers our

                   each year. If you’ve seen the

                   tournament before, you know what I

                   mean. But if you’re new here - the first

                   challenge will once again test their

                   time-management, speed,

                   determination, perseverance and their

                   ability to utilise their skills.

                  This year, we’ve got something new

                   planned for the second task, but all will

                   be explained when the task is revealed!

                   Similar to years past, this task will bring

                   out creativity, and their ability to

                   manage their time, and work together,

                   but also separately. Which team will be

                   able to work together seamlessly and

                   get their ducks in a row before the final

                   task? Finally, for the final task, the

                   champions will enter the “maze” alone,

                   but this year it will be different.

                   Triwizard Tournament 2023 had a twist

                   for the final task, and this year will be

                   no different. All will be revealed when

                   the final task is to begin.

                  Each team will test their skills, ability to

                   work together, and so much more. To

                   help each team prepare for their tasks,        

                   I have secured three Headteachers to

                   guide them, mentor them, and help

                   their teams ensure they are organised

                   and prepared for their tasks next

                   month.

This year, the appointed headteachers are:

Heistress of Durmstrang

Heistress of Hogwarts

Professor Ra

                  The head teachers will be there to

                   their champions and help

                   them work their way to eternal glory.

                   Head Teachers will not be privy to any

                   information regarding the tasks, and

                   will not be able to physically participate

                   or contribute to any of the tasks, and   

                   they absolutely cannot reveal any

                   restricted information regarding the

                   tasks or the tournament itself.

The schedule is as follows:

Saturday 16 December — Triwizard Tournament announcement

Monday 18 Dec - Friday 22 Dec — Selection (5 days)

Wednesday 20 December - Yule Ball Announcement

Monday 25 December — Yule Ball Starts

Friday 29 December Champion Announcement

Monday 1 January - Wednesday 10 January — First Task

Saturday 13 January - Saturday 20 January — Second Task

Monday 22 January - Tuesday 30 January — Third Task

Wednesday 31 January — Triwizard Tournament Results

                 Each of the three tasks will be

                  announced as a blog featured on the

                  front page at around noon GMT. These

                  blogs will explain in fine detail all of

                  the necessary information regarding

                  how the tasks will operate. These blogs

                  will explain how the champions will be

                  judged on each task and requirements

                  to complete valid entries for their work,

                  and clues will help them succeed.

                  These tasks will run until noon GMT on

                  the final day of each task, and entries

                  submitted by that time will be counted

                  and judged to earn points. Late

                  submissions will cost a team points.

                  Don’t fret though, reminders will be

                  sent by either me or each team's Head

                  Teacher.

                 Once the entries for each task are

                  submitted, the judging team (which will

                  be revealed later) will deliberate and the

                  points will be collected. All points and

                  school team standings will be revealed

                  in the blog of the next task.

                  After Nico has previously

                  received, similar to last year - extra

                  points will be earned in between tasks

                  by having gained a certain amount of

                  points from the task(s) already. A

                  school can earn 50 points if they have

                  earned over 200 points from the

                  previous two tasks already. So, tasks 1

                  and 2 will weigh more than the final one

                  in the end.

                  If you are intrigued by the tournament

                  so far and if you:

                - are free to take part between now and

                    the end of January

                - think you have the strength, skills and

                    endurance to take part in a most

                    exciting event full of challenges and

                    tests

                - crave eternal glory

                - haven’t been scared away yet

                - are ready to contribute to a team that

                    can lead to the most beautiful of

                    friendships.

           Then here’s how to take part in the 2024

            edition of HPA’s own Triwizard Tournament:

                 As mentioned before, each school will

                  have a selection quiz (released on 18

                  December 12PM GMT) which will act as

                  its own personal Goblet of Fire.

                  You will have a grand total of exactly 5

                  days (22 December 12pm GMT) to get

                  yourself a spot within the top ten

                  students for your school to be selected.

                  At 22 December 12PM GMT the

                  selection quizzes will be disabled and

                  none will be able to participate and

                  the selection process anymore.

                 If you’ve seen these quizzes before, you

                  know that they will be identical, but also

                  extremely challenging. They will test

                  your knowledge and endurance in

                  preparation for the tournament.

                  Therefore, you are allowed to attempt

                   the quiz as many times as you want

                  until the deadline has ed to make it

                  into the top ten.

                  As a friendly reminder, there will be ten

                  sports available for each of the school

                  teams, meaning a total of 30 students

                  will be divided amongst these three

                  spectacular teams. Thus, you will need

                  to make into the top ten competitors to

                  qualify as a champion for the

                  tournament. So , the higher

                  your rank on the quiz, the better your

                  chances will be of ensuring your spot

                  on a team.

                 Please bare in mind that you may only

                  enter ONE selection quiz. This means

                  you can only take part in one of the

                  three selection quizzes! I encourage

                  you to make your decision carefully and

                  then choose the team you wish to

                  compete with. Participating in two

                  selection quizzes, or even all three, will

                  get you disqualified from the event          

                  entirely. It may be harder to go for the

                  most popular choice of school teams,

                  although not impossible, so please

                  consider wisely when making your

                  choice.

                  On the day of Christmas’ Eve, 24th

                  December, I will be ing the

                  qualified champions to ensure they are

                  truly available and willing to participate.

                  I will be inviting all the champions to

                  their respective team chat where your

                  team and head teacher will be waiting

                  to help you prepare for your first task.

                  This will allow the teams the chance to

                  get to know each other and enjoy the

                  festivities (I know it’s the holidays)

                  before the tournament begins.

                 If you are not selected as a champion for

                 a team, please do not fret. Similar to last

                 year, there will be plenty for you to do,

                 and the tasks will be available for the

                 community as well. You are, if you wish,

                 allowed to create an unofficial team or

                 even participate as an individual

                 champion. We will have other surprises

                 for you like weekend challenges, etc. We

                 really hope to see a great amount of

                 participation!

                 teams throughout the month of January!

                 They will have quite the intense, and

                  thrilling month, but hopefully fun, and

                  time where they can create lasting

                  friendships with their teams! Similar to

                  last year, they will be required to create

                  many posts next month, so be on the

                  lookout and cheer them on! They could

                  definitely use the love and

                  encouragement from the rest of the

                  community!

              Last year, I was grateful to organise an

               incredible team such as Hogwarts Tri

               Team 2023. It was such a fun experience

                and i’ve created lasting friendships with

                my hardworking team. I really wish every

                team this year the best of luck, and my

                best advice is to delegate and lean on

                each other for . You can do this.

                Work together, and - if you’re

                struggling just taking a break and

                creating/sharing memes with each other

                helps a lot.

               I have so much gratitude for Corinne, Ra,

                and Stevie for taking on this opportunity

                and I wish them and their future teams

                Organization. I am grateful for your

                as we prepare to launch the

                tournament.
