OO1. | revisiting pottermore quizzes.

hi there,, my name’s luciel. im currently eighteen years old and i’ve been a long term harry potter fan since 2015. it has been a staple of my childhood and teenage years, being one of my earliest hyperfixations and a way i coped with my at the time undiagnosed autism throughout my younger teenage years.

my personal preference in of harry potter is the marauders era, and has been for a long time. as for my favourite character’s consisting of evan rosier, regulus black, luna lovegood and narcissa malfoy.

as for amino itself being the only reason i was able to preform well in english exams, since the roleplay aspect of the app really helped improve my vocabulary and creative writing. ,,

anyone else have a similar experience?

recently i decided to revisit amino, not being on the platform since around 2019. to refresh myself with the community and with harry potter i decided to redo my pottermore quiz, to see if i’ve changed as a person.

my house was something i expected to be the same as when i first took the test, and i was correct. i’ve always consistently had the same ideals and opinions on the sorting hat’s quiz. and it’s consistently given me slytherin for as long as i . even though when i was younger i had always wanted to be sorted into hufflepuff having the bias that hufflepuff would suit me more.

though thinking on it more slytherin is really the only house for me. so im glad that it’s always been consistent.

i never had any negative opinions on the slytherin house considering most of my favourite characters are slytherins, i just never viewed myself as an overly ambitious person to be in the house itself. but then again the hat never lies

i was actually extremely happy to get a shark as my patronus. i have a really bad fixation on sea creatures and lemon sharks in particular. im constantly yapping to my friends about how im literally a lemon shark, and it was honestly sort of scary to get a shark as my patronus. i did some research into the meaning behind the patronus and i got this according to google ,,

“having a shark as your patronus means that you find comfort in authority. you like having control over the world around you and knowing where you stand in it. you are someone who longs to be large and in charge. you desire for control in your own affairs and tend to value power and independence.“

the meaning of it seems to suit me well and i do relate to it on a lot personal levels. as someone on the spectrum i value a lot of these things. i like being able to control and dictate anything and everything about myself it brings a lot of reassurance to myself but as for power i don’t really have any interest in that sort of stuff.

as for my wand i don’t really know a whole lot surrounding wands beyond the wood is based on someone’s personality and character and according to google ,,

“possession of a maple wand has long been a mark of status, because of its reputation as the wand of high achievers.”

“dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. while they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.”

seems like my house, patronus and wand all have similar personality traits and perks. not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing. but at least it’s consistent, right?

judging by my wand and house i’d assume i would be a pureblood if I was in harry potter,, but who knows maybe not..
