Hello Potterheads!

It’s Olivia and today I am organising our edits and art edition! The theme for this month is Magical Props so there is a lot of aesthetics edits and beautiful art in this edition! Enjoy!

I actually really enjoy how this edit turned out, considering I was just experimenting with a different sort of style. I like how the filters make the images work well together and how the fonts are different but still work. If I did it again differently I probably would have taken off the white lines I added.

To start I found some nice aesthetic artefacts and compiled them into a grid mood board thingy. I then added a few filters and a zig zag in the corner. Then I added the different text for each object. Finally I added my watermark.

This isn’t my favourite tpl ever, but I do like how it turned out! I love how the Polaroid bit fits in with the background and everything else but I feel like some of the bits are a tad random. I feel I could’ve changed the opacity on the zig zags a bit.

To start I added the blue colour to the tpl template. Then I added some textures and a filter to make the edit look less plain. Then I added the potions image and my watermark. After that I went onto PicsArt and added the Polaroid frame and the zig zags. Finally I added the text.

I don’t hate how this turned out but I feel I could’ve done it better. The theme was quite difficult to find something to put on the edit so I was a bit limited in that respect. I feel I worked well with what I had.

To start I got the background colour of the blog and added the white flower thing. Then I added the marauders map logo over the top. After that I added the black outline to both the white thing and the marauders map. Finally I added the different text.

the first edit of the day is Lucius' wand! I absolutely love this wand! The serpent head at the end is especially striking. I couldn't resist editing it! The first I did was to establish a BG for the edit. I went with a green to represent slytherin ofc. I laid down some designs before the renders. I used two renders for this edit. one is a picture of the overall wand, and the other is a close up of the serpent. I really wanted to showcase the details of the wand. for the render of the overall wand, I put down an overlay, to give the wand its place in the edit. next, I went on to phonto to add the details of the wand, such as wood type, length, and core. lastly, I went to polarr to add a filter. overall, not to bad of an edit!

next edit is of the invisibility cloak! I decided to go for a lavender color for the bg. I added some designs before I put down the render, then I bordered the entire edit with squares. I added dots on the corners of the edit. then I added those squares on the bottom right corner. You could probably see that I'm going for a purple and gray theme. next I added that same overlay again on the top left corner, but diagonally. i went on to phonto to add the text "invisibility". lastly, I added a filter from polarr. not my favorite edit, but not my worst either!

last but not least is the hourglass of slughorn! another beautiful prop from the harry Potter movies! First thing I did was for the bg. instead of a dark green, I went with a lighter green this time. this edit was pretty simple. I laid down some designs then put down the render, which I tilted a little bit. next, I added the text with phonto. I changed up the orientation of the text and added it to the sides of the center square. lastly, I added a filter from polarr to brighten up the edit. I think this is my favorite edit from this set. that's all there is! I hope you enjoyed these edits! thanks :v:

Description:

First I started off by searching a lot of pictures. I finally decided to do an edit with dragon blood as main focus. Because of the red colour, I wanted the whole edit to be red. So I got a red background, another red sort of background. I used the background eraser app to remove the white background from the second red one. Then I added in the potions one, after also removing the background from that one. I started playing around with some functions in PicsArt and added some stickers and eventually a filter. Last but not least, I went on Pixel to add the word 'potions' and my watermark.

Description:

So just like the previous one, I first got on pinterest and got all the pictures I wanted. In this case, a blue background and the triwizard cup. Then I used background eraser to get rid of the background from the triwizard cup. I added the two pictures together in PicsArt and started adding some stickers. I used the normal white sticker and for the other two, I used the blend option. Then I went onto Phonto to add the text and lastly I went to Pixlr to add my watermark.

step one:I sketched out the lineart of the crystal ball with grey so as to be subtle.

step two:using various shades of grey and white,i shaded in the ball with a watercolour brush to make it seem smoky-ish.

step three:i erased the excess and blurred them all together for a smoother look.

step four:i shaded the stand in black and added some dark grey highlights which i blended in,for a matte effect.

step five:i used picsart for a filter.
