So... This is the first challenge I've ever participated in, so let's see how it goes.
I'm going to be talking about Ginny Weasley and my "problem" with her character. I hope it doesn't end up having too much of my personal opinions and still counts for this challenge. And it's totally okay if you like Ginny. I can totally understand that. I'm just going to get into this now... :P
Who is Ginny Weasley?
Well, I don't think I really have to explain this, but anyway, Ginny was at Hogwarts at the same time as Harry from his second year to his seventh year. She started out as more shy and was being possessed by Tom Riddle (his diary) and ended up opening the Chamber of Secrets. Later on, she ended up being more Feirce and strong. She ended up dating Harry, and she let him leave to search for Voldemort's Horcruxes without her (so he wouldn't "put her in any more danger than she was already in"). She did end up fighting in the Battle of Hogwarts, and she later on married Harry and had three kids.
Why do people like her?
Well, she's obviously a fierce and strong female character who went through a lot and still stayed strong.
My problem
While Ginny is generally a nice person, she can be mean sometimes, and no, that's not what's wrong. I don't dislike characters for being "mean". In fact, a lot of my favorite characters in things are mean *coughDracocough*. The thing is, the books, and even the fandom seem to portray Ginny as being flawless. First of all, I don't really like characters with no flaws (I guess it sometimes depends though, because I guess I like some characters who don't really have any obvious flaws.), but Ginny does have flaws, they just aren't portrayed as being flaws. She does bad things, and that would be fine, but they aren't portrayed as being bad, and she never gets punished for the bad things she does, and they're portrayed as being GOOD, and she sometimes gets REWARDED for it.
In Half-Blood Prince, on the train, some kid was being "annoying", so Ginny hit him with a really good and strong Bat-Bogey hex, which isn't even allowed, but she got invited to the Slug Club for it!
Conclusion
Ginny is a good, strong character, even though I don't really like her much, and part of that is because of this problem, but if you like her, that's totally fine!

I love Ginny and yes she did do that but Draco hexed Katie poisend Ron tried to harm Harry while he was trying to figure out whats going on and not to mention the teasing Hermione for her being muggle-born, and you "hate" on Ginny for that one thing she did that we would all do.. i mean people need to give her some slack...
I don't hate Ginny. I just don't like her that much, and the difference between her and Draco, is that, while Draco was worse than Ginny and did more bad things, he was portrayed as being bad, and the bad things he did were portrayed as being bad, and he usually got some sort of consequence for his actions. Ginny, on the other hand, was portrayed as being good all the time, even though she does have flaws, and didn't really have consequences for her actions and sometimes got rewarded. Not all of this may be entirely true about her all the time (someone else pointed that out down there), but it's simply just my opinion that Ginny isn't the most well written character. ^^

I think her character was not completely developed ( no offense to ginny fans) though her fierceness and strong side was portrayed. (And i dare not start on the hinny flaw)
i get your problem and respect your opinions,, even though the bat-bogey hex was a one-time thing,, and if any other teacher was ing through,, she most likely would have got into trouble!! and i get the fact that she is portrayed as flawless,, but she really isn’t-
