𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ;

Hey HPA, this is your local Padfoot speaking! For my first official post on this Amino, I wanted to make something special, so I drew my two favorite characters together - Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.

𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ;

These two have always been special to me, ever since I ed the fandom a year ago. When I read through the books for the first time, I didn’t have a favorite character up until Prisoner of Azkaban, where Remus automatically became my #1. Once I finished the book, Sirius quickly replaced the role, but Remus always remained a close second. Naturally, the fifth and seventh books were heartbreaking to me, since my two favorite characters were taken from me (and Harry), and for some odd reason I couldn’t place, I’d always imagined they must’ve had something more than friendship at some point. So I decided to use my trusty friend Google to see if I was the only one who felt this way - and I wasn’t. That’s when I discovered Wolfstar, and thus my inspiration for this piece.

I worked on this sporadically over the course of about a month, but the total amount of hours I put into it would probably add to around 8 - 9.

I wasn’t anticipating it taking up the whole page, but it did. Here I drew them both younger - maybe 16 to 18, but definitely still at Hogwarts. I wanted to make that clear by adding the stone brick beneath them, to make it look like they were sitting on the edge of the astronomy tower or something,, I dunno.

This step always feels like it’s drawn out the longest, even though it’s the easiest in my opinion. I’m probably gonna need a new pen after this...

Here’s where it gets risky. I had to test out most of the colors and how they blended before using them, because otherwise, I could’ve made some pretty big coloring mistakes. I also forgot to include the signature here, whoops :’>

𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟒 ; 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝

To add to the astronomy tower aesthetic, I decided to go for a night sky background. Once I had the base colored, I added some stars and a constellation for both Sirius and Remus - Canis Major for Sirius, the dog-shaped constellation which is also where Sirius (the star) is located, and Lupus, the wolf constellation.
