AH²³ :: Hogsmeade has opened

Hello hello students! I hope this update finds you well! I also hope you have been attending classes and earning those house points! Another week in Amino Hogwarts has ed and gone, but don’t fret! We have even more fun coming up this term in the form of Hogsmeade!

You heard me, right? Hogsmeade! The only all-wizard village in Britain! There is some new information regarding that as well as some updates on Extra-Curriculars, what’s going on around Hogwarts, and, of course, the house points! We also recently had applications for our head team, which will all be covered here!!

Head Teams

I know I said we would talk about Hogsmeade first, but I wanted to surprise you with our head teams first! These will consist of Heads of Houses, Head Students, and Head of RP Chat Hosts! May I present the head team as of now:

Head of Gryffindor : Ra Nazario

Head of Ravenclaw : Nobuyori Ōshiro

Head of Hufflepuff : Ophelia Spreo

Head of Slytherin : Athena West-Cavill

Congrats to those that were chosen! I wish them all luck in their responsibilities! I’m looking forward to seeing what they do!

Hogsmeade

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit Hogsmeade away from class? Having some time to relax and have some Butterbeer with friends? Or, perhaps, you’d like to stock up on your candy supply? Look no further, for Hogsmeade is opening officially this weekend! I hope you are as excited as I am!

This year, Hogsmeade will run for a total of three weekends. So, that means if you can’t enjoy it one weekend, there will be something waiting for you another! And it all starts this Friday, the 21st, and continues through Sunday the 23rd! The next three weeks are going to be so much fun, I can feel it!

Before being able to look around the village, please do get your Caretaker Zhen Yuan can make sure you are not sneaking out. Wouldn’t want to get in trouble now, would we?

Those who have participated in Amino Hogwarts before might that we had shopkeepers for the different canon shops around Hogsmeade. Well, we are doing something a bit different this year. Instead of shopkeepers, we will have workshops! ‘Workshops?’ you might be asking. ‘What’s that?’ I shall explain it!

There will be a total of three exchange professors coming throughout the weeks Hogsmeade will be open, and one professor is in charge of one Hogsmeade weekend. With me so far? Each weekend, one of these professors will hold a lesson focused on one subject. That lesson will follow with some fun games and events centered around it! The subjects, as well as the dates and who will be teaching it, follow:

Be sure to head over to Hogsmeade each weekend if you can! As the dates get closer, more information will be revealed for each weekend such as what kinds of games and events will be had! If I were you, I’d make a stop at the village!

In of Quidditch, we had two matches last weekend: Slytherin versus Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff versus Gryffindor! All teams fought valiantly, but Slytherin and Gryffindor came out victorious. Slytherin won with 250 points to 0, while Gryffindor won with a score of 150 to 50! You can read up on the previous matches and watch the ones this weekend here!

Plot Update

Earlier in the week, a 47-year-old pure-blood witch was reported missing by the Daily Prophet. Lydia Abbot was last seen leaving the Three Broomsticks as she was about to head home; however, it was reportedly not her ‘normal’ way home. One wizard claimed she kept veering off the path, and his husband agreed. Some say they saw a female wandering toward the Forbidden Forest, which could possibly be Lydia. The question is: why? Search parties went out, but still, no sign of Lydia has come up. Her family is desperate for answers and is offering a reward of 500 galleons.

On top of that, a food fight broke out in the Great Hall one evening. House rivalry seemed to be at the center of it. It started with a couple of Slytherins and Ravenclaws and then the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors got pulled into the mix. Of course, it didn’t last long as the Heaster and History of Magic professor put a stop to it at once. The students who participated had to clean up the mess.

Just this morning, a wizard went missing by the name of Bernard Fiddlewhomp. Like Ms. Abbot, he was last seen in Hogsmeade. He was last leaving the Hogs Head in the evening. Yet again, people swear that they saw a wizard walking toward the Forbidden Forest. This has shaken quite a number of witches and wizards up. What seems to warrant more concern is how close Hogwarts is to these disappearances. The forest was declared as not forbidden anymore, wasn’t it? We also have a Hogsmeade visit coming up too. :eyes: Is there a reason to worry?

Hufflepuff is still pulling ahead, but Slytherin ain’t that far behind and gaining fast! But I also wouldn’t count Ravenclaw and Gryffindor out yet! It’s anyone’s game, and I’m excited to know what it’ll end up being next week!
