Welcome back to Week Two of Amino Hogwarts!

We're off to an amazing start with 160 students signed up for registration, our fifteen brilliant classes already underway, and a fashion show done and dusted in just the first week of term. It's Avalyn here today with the first of my six weekly update posts throughout the summer. I'm here to keep you in the loop on the goings-on at Hogwarts, announce surprises ad mini-events, and most importantly, give you your weekly house point update.

I don't have long before you all need to get to class so let's get started.

Many of you have already filled your timetables with plenty of fantastic classes to take this term, with teaching now well and truly underway.

If you're yet to completely book yourself up with lessons, the good news is that there are still several classes accepting students including Transfiguration, among others. Check class noticeboards for more details about which classes are still looking for new students.

Just like at Hogwarts, Amino Hogwarts also has a Head Team! ing myself, deputy heistress Professor Lane and Head of ECs Professor Greenwood are:

By now all our actors will be chosen for their selected character and will be announced soon enough by one of our publicity managers, Professor Warren, so look out soon for that information!

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled in The Great Hall over the next few weeks because it will be bustling with life with actors warming up, directors.. well directing, stage set up, posters and much more interaction in the works!

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. If you’ve missed the big red shiny blog that went up on Wednesday, and your Prefects’ announcements, here’s the current situation for ECs:

I would highly recommend ing at least one if not all of them (if you’re insane enough, and your schedule permits of course). The organisers have worked hard on preparations this year, and as a past contestant myself, I can say with absolute certainty that the experience is a very enjoyable one. If you’re hesitant to because you don’t think you’ll do good, anyway! You may even form rivalries (and friendships) in the process.

Now you've all settled into your school routine and have begun making friends, the real fun can get started! We will be having our first official Hogsmeade weekend this week from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August.

To attend, you should have a permission slip, able here, signed by a member of the head team. If you cannot find your head of house to sign it, you can come to my office on Thursday for a signature.

Please note this is an optional "for fun" part of the event so you have a memento of your Hogsmeade trip! Please fill out the rest of the slip first before sending it to a member of the head team.

Hogsmeade is traditionally for students in their third year or above so if you wish to attend as a first or second-year student, you should be travel around the village in pairs or threes.

You can present your slip for examination by our caretaker Elliot on Friday morning in the Owlery/Courtyard before Hogsmeade opens for business at noon on Friday. Probity probes will be in use to ensure that no magical artefacts are smuggled out of the castle.

If you would like to volunteer as a Hogsmeade shopkeeper for the weekend, please pm me with your prefered canon shop of choice. I am looking for 3-5 shopkeepers for the weekend, with priority given to those without an official role already (prof/prefect/chat host) although everyone is free to interest. The deadline for this is Thursday at noon BST and I'll be in with the chosen shopkeepers shortly afterwards.

I look forward to the trip, although I will take this opportunity to remind all students and staff that AH rules still apply outside the castle walls so no firewhiskey (or anything more potent than a butterbeer) may be consumed while in Hogsmeade!

I'm thrilled to say that the main registration is now complete for all four houses! Please don't worry if you missed out on this opportunity to sign up as next week's update will include a second opportunity to apply to become a ed student and be given a distinct roleplay role which will begin at the start of week four.

If you are interested in this opportunity and are not yet ed, feel free to comment a 🖐 on this blog to receive a reminder once this second registration period begins!

Please note that you will need to have attended at least three individual lessons (for any subject/s) AND/OR have become a backup EC participant as an uned student to be eligible to apply for this new student role. This opportunity is designed to go to those who are active event participants already and taking part in classes now allow you to in officially later without falling behind.

Penultimately, thank you very much to all our buddies who have helped guide tons of new students during the first few weeks of AH preparations! If you've appreciated the help of your mentor buddy, make to sure let them know and say thank you, either in pm or the comments. Equally, if you didn't receive as much from your mentor as you would have liked, please pm me as I'd love on how this system worked out! The system has now finished but I do hope that many of you will be staying in touch with news friends that you've made as a result of the buddy program.

it's still very early in the term and things can and will all change as the event goes on! I'm so thrilled will all the hard work that has gone on so far and I can't wait to see it continue.
