and kind-hearted icons I’ve ever

looked up to.

If you taught us anything, it would be

to always be proud of your heritage, race,

and value yourself for who you are.

I wish we could’ve all been there to hold

your hand as you shed tears in response

to all the nasty, negative remarks, but

here you are now embracing what makes

you and showing us that black is beautiful,

along with expressing your ions to

the world.

I still the day you were 19 and

a lil innocent baby, yet you are now at 24,

showing your voice to the world and

growing more as a person.

I hope that confidence within you doesn’t

leave and that you strive to continue

to inspire your irers to do what’s right
