It was just like any other day for Ally.

She was the first to wake up as always. She shared a hotel room with Normani while they were on the PSA tour, and like usual, she was craving Waffle House.

She walked over to Normani's bed and decided to wake her up. "Mani..." , she whispered so that she didn't alarm her.

"Whaaat?”, Normani mumbled still tired. “I'm not getting up" she replied hiding her face under her pillow.

”Come on”Ally pulled the blanket off of her, knowing she'd have to get up to grab it back. "Let's go to Waffle House. I'll pay for you if you get dressed quick enough”.

Normani jumped up and sprinted to her suitcase. Within no time, they were ready to go.

"I'm gonna text Lauren and Dinah to meet us there", Normani said.

........At Waffle House.......

“Your food’s here”, said the waitress as she arrived with a tray of our food.

Waffles and pancakes, accompanied by a cold fruit smoothie, perfect for the warm weather.

Mani look wanna see a magic trick?", she asked as she tapped her shoulder.

"Sure”, Normani replied.

Ally took her last bites of her waffle

"See the waffle disappeared", Ally joked.

"That's nothing, I know how to do a real magic trick”. Normani put her food down.

"Roses, petals, butterflies, and trees. Brighten up and appear right here”.

Nothing happened... no, wait.

“Um, Mani, what’s going on?”, asked Ally.

Suddenly, the lights flickered on and off as the girls heard thunder starting from outside as it started to rain.

Suddenly, strange mists appeared, illuminating the darkness, floating around the place.

Lauren and Dinah burst through the doors simultaneously saying, "WHAT HAPPENED?!”

“There’s no time to expl-“

“Are those..”

“SPIRITS!”, they all yelled.

“Guys, I know what to do to get rid of the spirits. Follow me”, said Ally.

They all followed Ally as she went and opened the bathroom door.

“Ally, why are we in the bathroom?”, asked Dinah.

“Shhhh”, said Ally as she walked up to one of the dryers. She opened it like a safe door, pushing a button that scanned her hands on a device, opening some secret door.

Soft church music started flowing in.

“ Why is there a tunnel under Waffle House?”, questioned Normani

“ Oh yeah, I never told you I was a spy and this leads to a church”, said Ally, right has they all stepped into the majestic space of the Church.

*silence*

“You own an underground church??!!!???”, they all said at the same time.

“Of course”

“This is some weird stuff going on”, said Lauren.

“Someone me my holy water”

Normani handed her the holy water, and Ally started cleansing the room and the girls.

“Here, take these crosses”, said Ally as she ed them to each girl.

Since it was dark, they lit up candles, making their way around Waffle House.

“SPIRIT!”, yelled Dinah as one appeared right in front of her face.

“Oh, who do we have here?”, asked the spirit.

“Who do you think you’re talking to?”, responded Dinah.

“Tsk tsk, think again. You don’t even look that pretty to be talking to me”

“Uh oh”, said Lauren in the back.

The other 3 glanced at each other, knowing what was going to happen.

“Bish, did you just-“

Without hesitation, Dinah started swinging the cross at the spirit, chasing him around.

“I’m cute, go away”, she yelled.

After that, another spirit appeared, now facing Lauren.

“Hmm, pretty face, green eyes... someone has sure had you in mind for years...name starts with C?”

Lauren’s face heated up, filling up with anger.

“Please don’t make assumptions”

Dinah, still beating the spirit, snorted in response.

A third spirit appeared, now targeting Normani.

She stared at him, her sharp, dark eyes narrowing at his presence.

“Smooth, dark skin, hmm..”

“OK, ENOUGH!”, yelled Ally.

She grabbed Normani, since the other two were still waving the crosses at the spirits.

“What is something that could drive out all this darkness and craziness?”, they thought.

Ally went to the church, praying and searching for answers, while Normani paced around the room.

“LIGHT! ”, they exclaimed.

Immediately, Normani grabbed a mirror that she always keeps in her pocket.

Ally rummaged through her belongings, pulling out a lamp.

Together, they shone the light onto the mirror, making it reflect across the room. In an instant, light starting bursting everywhere, causing the spirits to screech in pain.

Everyone awoke, realizing they had all ed out.

The sky was clear, and soft wind was blowing the trees outside.

“What happened?”, they all thought, running their eyes as they gained consciousness.

“Who cares, we’re safe now and that’s all that matters”, responded Normani.

In any situation, light and teamwork always defeats darkness.
