Medic is lying down on his bed for the second day in the row, hugging a tear stained pillow. It's all he feels like doing besides crying- which he can't do since he doesn't have any tears to shed right now due to Medic having cried for around two hours this morning when he had woken up.

The day is cloudy, again, with the window revealing the grey sky that is covered with clouds. There was a wind outside, which Medic figured when the tree by the bedroom occasionally hits the clear glass. Medic only noticed the calm tapping now due to the noise being droned out by his sobbing. The sound didn't bother him though...

But what did concern him was Malen's hunger induced meowing. This was enough to cause the rabbit to sit up and look to where the meowing was coming from. He looked down the left side of the queen sized bed and saw his calico cat Malen looking up at him with hungry and concerned eyes. Feeling sorry for the cat, Medic put his legs over the side of the bed and let go of the tear stained pillow so he could bend down and pick Malen up.

"Sorry, sweetie... Dad's been a bit down in the dumps lately." Medic weakly chuckled, trying to cover up the sorrow in his voice. Medic tried to walk, but his whole body became sore. He dropped Malen and took a knee, slightly groaning in pain.

Right. Not moving your muscles in two days will make them a bit stiff and needs to be stretched.

So that's what Medic did. Stretched his hamstrings, shoulders, every muscle he could until the soreness toned down.

---

Medic walked to the kitchen and was greeted by Jason and Matroyshka, both pleading for food. Medic sighed. "Yes. I know. You all need food." Medic went into the pantry and picked up the large bag of organic cat food. He put a good amount into the three black bowls and let his cats chow down.

Medic knelt down and started stroking Matroyshka's black fur in an apologetic manner. "Sorry for not feeding you all..." Medic said to the cats, even though they couldn't respond. Suddenly, Medic's stomach growled, begging for any kind of food. "Looks like I need to eat as well..."

Medic walked on over to the silver fridge in the kitchen and opened its door, letting rays of bright light to cascade onto the black and white tiled floor of the vacant kitchen. Medic began to look through the fridge for something to curve his starvation and stopped when something caught his eye.

It was a small container of vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting... Ones he bought for Dani.

---

"Hey...sweetheart?" Dani asked her boyfriend while they were eating chocolate frosted cupcakes. Medic turned his face to Dani's and hummed a "Yes" to her- while also revealing to have gotten a smudge of frosting on his chin. Dani chuckled softly, licked her thumb and wiped away the frosting.

"There's something I want you to do..." Dani paused. "For when I'm not here anymore..." Medic swallowed the rest of his bite, put his half eaten cupcake on the small end table by Dani's bed, and held her hands. "What is it?" the red rabbit asked.

"I want you to look under the bed."

"What? Why?" Medic questioned, clearly confused by the request.

"Because there just might be something there that'll make you happy..."

---

ing what Dani had asked him to do when she wasn't with him anymore, Medic rushed to his bed room and checked under the bed for anything- even though there never has been anything under that queen sized bed since Dani and Medic moved in four years ago. But turns out, there is something there. A large white box.

Medic pulled out the box, sat on the bed, and opened it. What was inside was a folded letter and a photo of Dani, smiling. Medic smiled back at the photo and unfolded the letter to read it.

"Medic. If you're reading this, I'm dead.

I know you must be heartbroken, I know I'd be if you were me- so I wrote this for you...so that I can tell you how happy you made me.

Before I met you, I was just a simple killer making art with my victims and having fun while doing it. Just another murderer that did all her work alone and needed no one...but all that changed when I met you.

Whenever I was with you, I felt like I could do whatever I wanted without being judged. I felt like nothing could replace you, because in truth nothing could replace the happiness I felt with you. Someone could make me pick between being an all powerful goddess and spending entirety with you, and I'd pick the latter. No matter what.

Now I may not be here with you anymore, but I'll be looking after you and waiting. Waiting for you to me, whenever that is. I wish I could still be with you...but that cancer sure is hard to beat when it's in your heart, huh?

But, do you know what hasn't changed since I left?

You having been the best part of my entire life...

I love you!

-Dani

P.S.- Please take care of the cats..."

Tears slide down Medic's face as he read the letter. He clutched it to his chest and smiled...knowing that he was the best part of her life

[Had this idea in my head for awhile, so I thought of finally writing it. Hope you enjoyed!]
