There is a section in Petco where they have pets which have been brought back to the store and are now up for adoption.

In a lot of countries there will be small local pet stores that sell hamsters, this does not garantee that they do not get their hamsters from hamster mills so please ask before buying a pet from them. But some pet stores do not get them from mills so it is okay to get them from here.
