I forgot I had this Amino for a while. Anyway, the last post I made on here was last year, and I told you guys about how my hamster Moxxie made it to his 3rd birthday. Now I’m here to let everyone know that my little elderly hamster made it to his 4th birthday this year on February 9th. He is still alive today but changes to his enclosure has been made due to his old age, he was in need of a a more elderly friendly hamster enclosure layout due to showing more elderly hamster signs and slowing down, he has a harder time climbing over things and he’s looking scruffy. Healthy non the less, just an old man. I kinda wonder if he would make it to his 5th birthday or not, I feel like it’s unlikely though. I wouldn’t be surprised if I wake up someday this year without him alive.

wow! you must have amazing care if your hamster is 4 years old
I do the best I can, my little man is and has always been spoiled and well cared for and always got checkups from the vet at least once a year. Though I also feel like genetics also play a rule in how long a hamster can survive.
