Mites

So we found ATON of bugs in franks cage wile doing a cage clean. we think they could be mites and most likely are. we are happy we had just got some care fresh as we are switching frank to it cause we are almost certain he’s allergic to aspen. my mom would not let me put even a inch of bedding because I’m a few days to a week we will have to change his bedding again. as soon as I told my mom the price for meds 30-40 she said no but that was only the quick option there is a longer option that’s a lot cheaper a home made treatment. does anybody know how a home made remedy treatment works and can they walk me through it. he has also been coughing and I think it’s cause he was on a bedding he was allergic to for awhile I think he might have a respiratory infection. we are taking him to the vet along with a tub of the bugs on Monday. we cannot go tomorrow as the vet is not open Sunday but we are taking him tomorrow and I’m so glad I was planning on taking him for a checkup anyway. please tell me how I can treat these mites and how often.

(The cage is only empty cause this was right after we put the bedding in stuff went in later)
