So I’ve always had a very tame hamster and lately he hasn’t been doing the same thing. This started 3 days ago. He doesn’t come near me anymore and he bites my hand when he comes up to me. He doesn’t chatter or anything. Has this happened to anyone? He’s not even a year old. He’s also been burrowing more lately. I haven’t done anything. He keeps hiding also. What could this be?

Sometimes hamsters have a few off days, Vinnie does too. I found that allowing them to walk into a mug and thennn be picked up/handled really helps! I know it sounds weird but I think it let’s them understand their fine and have fun awake and playing.
