Philip closed his diary, small sniffles leaving the teen boy's mouth as he could hear the faint noises of his parents arguing and shattering things again. He looked over at the portrait they took a few years back. They were all smiling in the portrait then. Why couldn't they be happy just like that now? Glass shattered in the background as Philip got up, going to hug his younger siblings while trying to keep them calm. He tried to ease their fragile yet tense bodies as he did his best to distract them from the noises that riddled them to the bones. Noises of a broken family. Shattered by scandal. And forever left to be cracked and damaged to someone is left lifeless and broken.

Philip whispered to himself as he huddled with his siblings in the corner of their shared room.

Hey everyone, your local inactive weeb is back with a team prompt that was due back in March. But I didn't have any inspiration, but now I do lmao. Although I'm not a writer on the team, I thought I would do a little piece of writing to tie in with the video edit I made for this prompt. This is an au where in the wake of Alexander being found out to have cheated on Elizabeth, the family soon begins to deteriorate, and the home is riddled down to the bone with nights of screaming and fighting between Eliza and Alexander, their children constantly hiding, afraid of their parents rage- and Philip has to be the one to care for his younger siblings. He is broken from all the pain his father brought onto the family, and only wishes for the family to go back to being happy.
