all of them were pretty much at each others' throats, especially jefferson and adams at that time. burr was...lets just use the word 'unstable', and also like is mentioned in hamilton, he really didn't hold clear opinions, making him an untrustworthy candidate.
jefferson, while probably the best politician out of the three, just had too many controversies and enemies, as well as questionable morals.
adams was accused of being a monarchist (he was accused of a lot of things, *coughs*), but i feel like he'd be the lesser of t h r e e evils. while his frenemy relationship with jefferson might have been affected by him being reelected, i feel like they could still have made up, which is what happened when jefferson was elected, so no great controversy would probably have come out of it.
i feel like adams would have done the least to change things, since he already had the first term.
also, bsvdksbd lowkey feel bad for him, i mean, first guy to only serve one term, and all the rumours jefferson started about him, adams' political life was just humiliation after humiliation-
ALSO, I REALLY DONT WANNA VOTE FOR EITHER BURR OR JEFFERSON, SO-
I mean I don’t even like Adams but I despise Jefferson and Burr wouldn’t have been good so I guess it’s the lesser of the evils
