Even in death, you give life. (Historical Theo + Burr art)

Anyway.

I drew this a few days ago for Theodosia Burr Alston's birthday (6/21) and I decided I wanted to draw something that symbolized her and her father's loving yet tragic bond with one another. They truly did care about each other so much and I think that's sweet. I decided to go with a multimedia approach to this so I could incorporate crystals and herbs I thought related to them. It has an life/death/afterlife theme to it, might as well lean into some paganism for it.

Theodosia Burr Alston was such an amazing woman, her parents were so unbelievably proud of her, and it always makes my heart hurt thinking about how she died trying to reach her father to grieve her recently deceased son, Aaron Burr Alston (whose death day was 6/30 ☹). She was so incredibly smart, talented, devoted, and loving, and even though I love researching about her bond with her father I also think she deserves much more attention as an individual. She had such a tragic life but was also so strong, so I ire her a lot.
