Im struggling to get my piggies to bond with me . My girls are 2 and a half and are still incredibly scared of me when i go into the room (which is also my bedroom) i have tried to cuddle them and hand feed and i also talk to them alot aswell . I have tried to pick them up however they get so stressed out im worried that the stress is going to harm them as i have heard that stress can do that however if i dont bond with them then it will cause them to be even more stressed . I have had them all take food previously and all have let me stroke them but its very rarely

Some piggies just don't like cuddles.

I have a sow who I've had for 3 years now. She'll take food from my hands and come up to me. But still gets startled when I walk into the room or try to touch her.

None of my original sows let me pick them up even after 3-4 years of having them. While Gusterson is completely fine with being picked up/pet/anything since day one.

Sit by them, feed them veggies, spend time with them. But you may not be able to pick them up from their cage.

What I do for my three is I'll set a carrier in their cage with food/treats in it. They've learned to go into the carrier. From there it's a smaller space and easier to calmly lift them up for nail trims, etc.
