pink house

5/10

This house I wouldn’t recommend because of air circulation. Air can get very stuffy in their and it can get very hot in the summer in their. It is marshmallows favorite and he usually sticks out his head while laying down. The other house that is similar which I’ll put a picture here

this still isn’t very good with the holes at the top. Again the air circulation is not very good and can get hot and stuffy in the summer. Also it is rather cheap. Also only one entrance, which I’ll talk about in another part of the blog.

oxbow hay tunnel

This tunnel is not for me just because the when the piggies pee and poop in it it gets pretty stinky quickly. They absolutely love it though. Also they destroy it in a matter of a few weeks. This is more of a treat for floor time. It’s a bit more on the expensive side too.

willow bridge

10/10

This is the best, it’s cheap and affordable. This is dumplings absolute favorite, he loves to jump on top of the willow bridge and lay there. It’s bendable and can be any shape you want. I would recommend getting a bigger size. The one I have is too small so I have to prop it up but still is wonderful.

hay rack house

7/10

This is a good hay rack, and the house is very dark. Though air circulation again is not very good. Also only one entrance, which I’ll talk about in another part of the blog. It is relatively cheap because it is a hide house and a hay rack.

tips when buying a hide house

it is better if you have more then one entrance/exit so If one needs to exit it can. Sometimes one exit can spark a fight because one of the piggies is telling the other piggy to leave but it’s blocking the only exit.

air circulation is key because if there is no good flow it can cause repository infections or more. If you want to know what it feels like you can go under a thick blanket for a few minutes to feel what bad air circulation feels like.

you can also use old cardboard boxes as houses. Just cut the flaps then cut as many entrances as you would like.

lastly you can make you own with stuff at home. You can use a small stool, it has multiple exits and entrances and good air circulation. You can also drape a blanket on top which I like to do on top of their litter box.
