Varos is very precise and calculated in his movements and thoughts, seemingly very intelligent. He cares not for others, and only strives to "Serve Mordus" and will not hesitate to 'punish' anyone or thing that defies him. Varos seems more like a puppet or husk than an actual griffin.

Varos will usually try to manipulate anyone that hasn't heard of him to him and 'Mordus'. If this doesn't work he won't hesitate to attack or try to kill / infect them.

Varos was born to his father, Shearwater, and his mother, Lillith. He was raised among a group of other griffins alongside his brother Cus . Varos trained hard, but always failed, unlike his brother who ed with flying colors. Once he and his brother received their names, Varos was ashamed of his name and shut himself out.

He began to become bitter of Cus, and thought he had found a perfect opportunity to best his sibling when a strange virus threatened the group. While trying to ward off the plants, Varos became infected himself along with a few others, and they wrecked havoc among the group.

Varos came face to face with his brother, intending to kill him, before Cus fled. Varos now serves under 'Mordus', seemingly without a mind of his own, trying to spread the virus and 'serve Mordus' cause'. His only apparent desires are serving Mordus and hunting Cus down.

Varos only speaks in a emotionless monotone

He has a high pain tolerance, but knows when he is in danger. Despite this, the plant attached to him is very sensitive and he usually flees if it's harmed.

Technically, Varos is a hippogriff, since he has the hindquarters of a horse, but his tail is strange, almost reptilian like.

He was born with a second set of ears, which definitely didn't help when he was bullied as a fledgling.
