After Cincinnati, UCF, and Houston announced earlier this college football season that they would be leaving the American Athletic Conference for the Big 12, the AAC has finally named some new who will their conference. The six new teams ing the AAC are Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, Rice, and UAB. The plan is to have them all start participating in the conference beginning in the 2023-24 season. With all of these additions, the American conference will now have 14 teams each in football and basketball.
The interesting part about this move is that all six teams are currently going to be leaving Conference USA, leaving it with only eight consisting of MTSU, Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, UTEP and Western Kentucky. However, the Sun Belt Conference is expected to add Southern Miss and Marshall, while it is speculated that the MAC will add MTSU and Western Kentucky.
What are your thoughts on the new planned American Athletic Conference?

CUSA is dead
Unless they add some FCS schools the conference will be completely dead. It sucks for the remaining teams as they will just be left in the dust.
