I was just wondering if any of you have misheard some lyrics from The Great Comet, Ghost Quartet or any other Dave Malloy show.
I used to think that the lyrics in The Camera Shop from Ghost Quartet were ”The bear’s name is Bryce” I didn’t realize it was ”The bear named it’s price” until it was too late.
I just casually called the bear Bryce even though they never called him anything else than the bear.
I wanna know if anyone else has stories like this about misheard lyrics. I think they’re fun to read.
I promise I’ll post a drawing next week. I’ve just been kinda buzy with school and all.

“Marya is old school, grandeur of Moscow” when it’s really “grand dame”.
Also “And during the ecossaise” in the Ball I didn’t know what that was so I thought it was pronounced “the cosé”
