Wow, I never thought I’d ever do this again. It feels like mere months ago I was writing my farewell message from here. You can take the person out of GF Amino, but you can never take GF Amino out of the person.
Ever since I formally retired from GFA, I’ve been pretty busy in many places. And surprisingly, I still haven’t left the GF fandom, nor did I truly leave this community. If your post was on the front page, there’s a good chance I left a like, comment, or even a few coins on it (I am slowly running out of coin, lol). I still regularly check in on here, and I’ve now been doing it nonstop for over 1,100 days.

I think in many ways that’s been my biggest reason to remain here. And I still want to keep it going. IDK how long though, but for as long as I can, I’m going to keep my streak going.
Other than that, outside of GFA, I’ve continued to contribute to the GF fandom. If you follow my Instagram (@ThatGFFAN), you’ll see that I still regularly post there. And I still do on many other social media platforms I’ve created thanks to GF. On YouTube I still have kept the That GF FAN YT channel running, and I even just posted videos in these last few weeks.
Beyond GFA, I’ve also continued in fanfic writing, though no longer solo. Recently I teamed up once again with Adoption AU creator marehami, to create some new stories for her AU. The first one was called Gotcha Day, and the second was called Her Trustful Heart. Along with those two, I created a special story based on her AU, and inspired by one of my old scrapped stories called Bad Habits.
It’s inspired by a scrapped story from my 22 short stories project. If you read the scrapped ideas blog I made back in the summer, you’ll know what this is about. As of now, I have no plans to publish this story here, so it’s available only via my Wattpad, FFN, and/or AO3 page.

And while we’re on the subject of Adoption AU, marehami and Keleficent are making an audio version of the AU, & are holding auditions to look for people to voice characters. If you’re interested, send her an audio audition of lines from it for consideration. The details are in this picture.

If you have any questions or concerns, email Mary via the address in the photo above, as she’ll be answering them.
I’m very excited about this, given I’ve been a long-time follower of both Mary and Kelly’s work, and have contributed in helping them, so I’ll also be doing my best to help out in any way I can. If you wanna be a part of this, Email your audition to them as soon as you can. As of right now we don’t have any offers, so please, if you can, let her know, as it would make her day, and as a friend of hers, I want to see this project she has planned come through.
DEADLINE IS MARCH 20TH!!

Beyond the Adoption AU, and back to GFA for a sec, I’ve been going back and doing a lot of edits to my old blogs. If you’ve been spammed lately by my old blogs, and stories in your followers feed, I apologize, as I’ve had to do some rather rudimentary changes to several of my old blogs due to issues involving artwork and photos that were in them. Unfortunate, but out of respect for those requests, I’ve had to make these changes. Nothing big or important, but that’s mainly why you may have been spammed with old posts from me.
Anyways, in of Gravity Falls news, there hasn’t been all that much, as expected. Mabel haters, I’m pleased to say, are now no longer as big of an issue as they used to be back in the day. Many I assume have moved on to other shows, so mercifully, the GF fandom is (somewhat) back to how it once was. In of official stuff, nothing. No new merchandise, no new books, no new nothing. Which is no surprise, given it’s been 4+ years since GF ended.
There have of course been many discontinuations, such as the Domez figures now slowly becoming a rarer and rarer sight at stores, given the first wave has been discontinued. Other GF merch like the remaining funko pops are also possibly nearing the end of the line.

But leave it to the GF fandom to provide where Disney cannot! You may me talking last year about a fanzine project called Epilogue, which is a charity fanzine made in tribute to Lost Legends. Well, after much delay, it’s finally been released, and orders have been fulfilled. It’s been great to see new fan content such as this make it to the production line, yet also sad, as who knows if another one will ever be made.

And how can I forget about the legendary Gravity Falls Deep Woods project?! It’s been over a year since episode 2 of the 22-episode long project came out. Well, after going around and asking a bunch of people, I finally heard back from Deep Woods creator MysterySeeker, who told me that the project was still on!
Not only that, but he made an update video which goes into greater detail about what’s going on.
Long story short, the project is undergoing some restructuring to allow for episode production to flow better, and new episodes are planned for very soon. It’s exciting to say the least. I really love this project, and I’m so happy that it’s still underway. I have the fullest of confidence in MysterySeeker and his team that they can get this finished. It may take a while, but don’t give up on them yet!
And to add to it, they’re right now looking for artists to help them with it. So, if you’re an artist and interested, shoot them a DM here.

And what about Alex Hirsch?! The man of mystery himself. He has yet to reveal his new Netflix show, which he actually said he’d announce in the Fall of 2019. Well, it’s nearly spring 2020 now, so I’ll let you decide on this one.
But, if you do still pay attention to what Alex is up to, you’ll know that he now voices King on the long anticipated for series, The Owl House, created by former GF storyboard artist, former Ducktales director, Lost Legends illustrator, and girlfriend to Flannel Man himself, Dana Terrace.

The show is only 8 episodes in so far, but it’s been a real thrill. I cannot recommend it enough to any fan of GF. We’re at a point in time now where to still think that Gravity Falls will get a 3rd season is only going to hurt you more than anyone else.

The show is gone. It’s over. The adventure ended, and while yes, the fandom shall never die, we must now branch out beyond it. TOH is one of the best cartoons on right now, and while yes, nothing will ever replace, or even come close to rivaling Gravity Falls, these shows can help one cope with the loss of GF, and move on.
Finishing Gravity Falls is like the 5 stages of grief. First, you’ll deny the show is over, and look for anything new. Then the anger sets in, and you may rant about how it’s Disney’s fault, that they cancelled GF just to fund the 57 millionth Marvel movie or something. Then the depression stage hits, where anything may help. Fanart, merchandise, fanfics, etc. In bargaining you’ll probably try once again to get a season 3, but once you reach acceptance, you’ll know that moving on is what helps the most. I’m at that point, and it’s allowed me to stay a fan of Gravity Falls, while move on to new stuff beyond just it.

Okay, I’ve rambled on for a while now. So, what’s next for me? Well truth is, I have no idea. I have a large stock pile of GF memes I have been thinking of posting here. Not only that, but I also have been really wanting to post more Spongebob GF scripts. So, while I cannot promise anything right now, stay tuned. This is not the last post I’m probably gonna make on GFA.
And that about wraps this up. It’s so nice to be back to writing on this app. I’ve missed it a lot. GF Amino was where I got my starts in not only the Gravity Falls fandom, but also for my reunion with cartoons. I’ve grown a lot in the last 3 years. The person I was when I ed is very different to who I am now. And I’m certain that’s the same for many of you. We all started out small, scared, and nervous about what the future held. I still am, no doubt about it. Life still throws curveballs at me, and I still sometimes get hit by them. But I’ve not let them take me down.

Gravity Falls was, in a lot of ways, what helped me get back from easily the biggest curveball I’ve been hit with back in 2017. And it helped me get through many of the ones that have come since it. And through it all, GFA has been there. I may now be more active on Instagram and Twitter, but Gravity Falls Amino holds a special place in my heart.
I’ve seen this community grow. I’ve seen events happen, people come and go, curators and retire, friends leave, and return, and so much more. 3 years isn’t a lot on a cosmic scale. But to me, it feels like a very long time. And I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to spend much of it here. Though I’m technically no longer as active as I was back then, I still care for GFA, and while I don’t think I’ll ever again make the same level of posts and content like I did back in the day, when Lost Legends was coming and there were hundreds of people online at a given moment, I’ll do my best to give those who still follow me, and still take the time to read these posts which I spend a while writing, the content that I’ve always tried to give…Quality over Quantity.

And that’s it for this blog.
