I am already making an AU about it, but this theory post is just because I wanted to share it with people who I know have watched the show. I don’t know if anyone else made a theory like this, and if so, please tell me.
I have this theory about Weirdmaggedon 3. I think that if Bill didn’t follow the rules(“Ha ha ha! I'm insane either way, brainiac. But have it your way. I'll just fish around and get that equation directly out of your mind!” (Enters the mental realm)
“Not so fast! You know the rules, Bill. You may be able to haunt my dreams but you can't enter my mind unless I shake your hand and let you in.”)
I’m that scene(reference from here) things would’ve ended a lot differently for Gravity Falls. But he did, and he lost. I think that if Bill had gotten the equation and collapsed the barrier, then he would’ve won. He didn’t though. Confusing, right? Considering the fact that Bill is a demon that has literally itted that he’s, in his own words, “insane either way” so why would he follow the rules if it meant that he would lose? It seems that Bill has already committed acts that are not complying to any rules, like killing Time Baby, or taking control/entering/possessing the body of a time officer. So why would he draw the line at the rules of the mind? It seems so unlikely(just found out why, he stays true to his word with deals), and yet it happened. All I really know is that if Bill hadn’t followed the rules, he likely would’ve won.
Thank you for reading! Bye!

I feel like this goes along those same lines as it would for a vampire.
It's said that if they request to come in and you don't let them they litterally can't come in, so perhaps it's the same for Bill, the deal is that barrier breaker for entering the mind?
Possibly
I like the theory, but as a demon, Bill's true to his word when it comes to deals, considering he's a scam artist
Ok, that makes sense. Thanks though!
