Hey guys!

Ahh, it seems yet another challenge has been introduced to the community!! This being the Vicki! So, since I don't want to miss out on the fun, I decided to participate as well!

Getting into Kpop

As a short introduction to my road to standing GOT7, I decided to include the short story of me getting into the world of kpop in general!

I've known about kpop for a really long time, seeing as 2ne1 and BtoB were on America's Next Top Model and PSY's Gangnam Style became really popular in the U.S., but I was never really exposed to it until I was a 7th grader (it was around the spring of 2015)! A really good friend of mine had gotten into it so she'd talk about it from time to time, and sometimes told me to watch a few music videos. I liked them, but obsessing over Korean boys seemed like a really weird thing to do (even though I would talk nonstop about cartoon characters). As she got more into it, I started wanting to get into it as well because I wanted to have more things to relate with her (plus I really wanted her to like me), and eventually she told me she didn't think I'd like kpop.

So, I decided to make fun of kpop and kpop stans for about a year. Until I started 9th grade, that is. I made a friend and she was talking about how she always got annoyed when people asked her things about herself just because she was Asian, so, being the great friend I am, I jokingly asked her if she knew what kpop was and she said yes. After that, I'd make fun of it with her and eventually she showed me BTS! After that, my reign of kpop hatred slowly dissolved into nothingness, and now here I am!

That wasn't really a short summary at all, but all is well and now you guys will be filled in as I continue the story.~

Finding GOT7

I'd always sort of known about GOT7, because like said my friend was (she still is lol) a huge kpop stan and I'm almost positive she'd mentioned them from time to time. And another friend of mine, Sparkly Jinyoung talked about them a lot. As I was new to kpop, and the only group I was into was BTS, I decided to watch the FineBros series YouTubers React to Kpop one night. They were reacting to Just Right, and I really liked the song, so I decided to watch the actual music video! I really liked it, and ended up telling that to my friend and it all went on from there!

Getting into GOT7

After telling my friend I enjoyed GOT7's music, I watched the Just Right M/V another time, screenshotting Bambam in the cereal bowl and, to be honest, making fun of him (not in a negative way of course) and questioning what was happening in that scene in general. I then proceeded to watch all of GOT7's music videos, enjoying their music more and more. My friend, excited that I'd shown fascination in GOT7, begun introducing me to all of the .

At first I was having trouble with memorizing who was who, and I think it took longer than two weeks before I was able to tell all of them apart. Over my Thanksgiving Break, I decided to watch Real Got7 (since my friend had been telling me to do so anyway) and I slowly begun to fall in love with each and every one of the ! And then, one day when I was supposed to be working on homework, I decided to listen to the GOT7 playlist that was on YouTube, and found that more and more I was growing attached to them. Soon enough, I ed the GOT7 Amino and by then all hopes of my avoiding the iGot7 pit were lost. :')

All in all though, I'm so glad to have gotten into GOT7! Each of the boys has such a loveable personality, and they're all so talented! And I love hearing them speak English because its honestly adorable. Not to mention, the fandom itself is really warm and welcoming (especially compared to other ones I've seen)! I'm so happy to have gotten into GOT7, they make me so happy. :')
