George Best is a Northern Irish ex-footballer who played for a total of 19 clubs and his national team. The most famous of his spells at clubs was his 11 year stay at Manchester United where he made 361 appearances and scored 137 goals from the right wing position.
In total he made 604 club appearances scoring 239 goals in the process. He got 37 caps for Northern Ireland and scored 9 goals.
He won European Player of The Year and the UEFA Cup with United going down as a legend for the Red Devils.
Sadly, after a life of of drug and alcohol abuse he was taken too soon in 2005 at the age of only 59. He died of organ failure in London, going down as an all time great.
