My theory of loosing state

I herd some of you guys talking about loosing state in GD Profile.

So I had some theory for why that happened.

This is probably due to RubRub’s duplication earn bug fix which he stated on this tweet

So he offered to made a email

Which you guys probably think he didn’t reply. But he probably already read it.

So I kinda have some trick to do avoid that happened. But it only can be done if you haven’t update the game. And only can be done on PC (android also can be done too, if your android device was rooted. About iOS s... probably :-1: )

But how ?

My theory to how to fix it before you got that is you had to backup your profile via server first. Then go to the system file and find the Geometry Dash file (the one where all of your saved song located) and copy all four file (the only 4 files that different that other) to anyway that you think it is safe (for android , you had to look by yourself in the system file. It probably on data > geometryjump). This will make a offline backup before you update the game.

So now you can install the game, once installed, try to open it. Checked if there any problem with the profile. If all of your data was fine, that good. But if not.....Copy (I recommend you to copy it instead of cut or move it) the all data that you copied before in the the same file where you copy it before. After that, try to reopen the game and checked everything. If everything works fine, that good.
