Hey guys! :D

Nobody appreciates the music in Geometry Dash. Well, few people. Many simply play the game without any music at all! That, to me, is an outrage. The music is centric to the performance and cohesion of the game, but it's so often underrated or even ingored. That it why today I'm going to go through the artists who have composed the Geometry Dash soundtrack, and the music they made, giving my thoughts on the whole piece, not just the part that plays in the game.

Let's go!

Stereo Madness

This track is probably the most simplistic and easy-to-replicate track in the game. The chord sequence it uses is very common throughout the music industry, so it doesn't get any points for originality. However, I really like it. The way it builds up slowly is great, when especially the drop (so to speak) in the fist ship section. After the part that plays in the level, the track just repeats itself, so nothing needs ti be said. Overall, Stereo Madness, while unoriginal, is a great piece of music. Get used to me saying that, folks.

To be perfectly honest, I don't have any experience with any of ForeverBound's other tracks, so I can't really judge him/her as an artist in his/her own right.

Back on Track

This piece only really gets going near the end of the level, where it changes but still retains the overall theme. It starts off with a very simple, melodic piano style opening, and then slowly morphs into the synth like style we see a lot of in Geometry Dash. Despite its initial simplicity, it gets quite complicated as the piece develops, and I love it; not quite as much as Stereo Madness, but I'll listen to this any day of the week.

As for the artist, DJVI composed this track, and s/he is featured heavily in the early levels of Geometry Dash, so I won't mention them again. Similarly to ForeverBound, I haven't heard any of their other music than the ones in the game, so I cannot say if I like the artist as a whole.

Polargeist

Now, to be honest, I'm not a big fan of this piece. The Geometry Dash version was cut and sped up, and that does make it a lot better in my opinion. However I do like how it goes nice and subtle in the flying section, and then returns to the main instruments afterwards. It has a very good structure to it, but I'm not a fan of the melody.

Step composed this piece, but as s/he has only gotten one track in Geometry Dash, I haven't really researched them, so I'm not going to comment on their skills.

Dry Out

I love the deep, almost grinding tones to this track. At the drop when the gravity changes is where it gets good. After this, both the opening melody and the drop melody merge into a perfectly synchronised tune, which works incredibly well. I'll repeat: I love this track. It's unconventional compared to Back on Track and Polargeist, but that doesn't ruin it.

Base After Base

I quite like this piece, but it's not as good as Dry Out, though it was composed by the same person: DJVI. My definite favourite part is the section that plays during the black part of the level, but the whole track is still great. It has an extremely catchy and smooth melody that I love. The instruments used are good, the tempo is great, and the overall timbre of the piece is almost perfect. But, still not as good as Dry Out, though it's a very tight race.

Nice post! I'm quite sure only the more amateurish players ignore the music. :3
