More stuff GDA should stop doing

~Another serious post~

Disclaimer. If you're featured here please don't take it to heart. I just used it as an example. Maybe if you're here you could take my tips and change for the better, which is what the community should do in general. Also, once again, this is my opinion, and certain parts may be offensive to some. I apologise for that.

Oh hey, guess what. A part 2, since quite a number of people did say there were more. So I decided to get off my lazy ass and throw this together. Please, if you're reading this and are guilty of anything on here, try to change for the better. It's not that hard.

Added latias as the cover picture as it looks a lot better than some quizzes

Quizzes with 7 questions/Quizzes on the person posting the quiz.

No Fusch and Azarite, I don't know either of you very well, and that probably goes for majority of the community. There's like 9k people here, and that makes your quiz more geared towards people you tend to interact with who will obviously know you better. Also, for quizzes with 7 questions, that is the bare minimum for a quiz to be ed, and frankly, that makes for a short quiz which doesn't really last long, won't have a chance of getting featured, etc. There are quizzes with 100 questions out there. It's not that hard. Maybe I'd suggest to try and hit a minimum of 15 questions, that shows an amount of effort you put in on the quiz, and it won't trigger pepe.

I'd term this one "being a busybody"

I'm calling out PugDaHug on this one. Seriously, it doesn't matter whether someone sets their profile picture as their face. It's their profile, they're free to do whatever they want with it. Dead s? There's plenty, take your pick. This isn't the only case.

This post is just pointless. Maybe that name was from another amino, and literally no one cares at all about whether this guy is doing daily posts on GDA. One thing Pug also does (and certainly isn't the only one) is the over excessive usage of capital letters, "m8", purposely misspelling words to make it seem "cool", no, it's just cringe.

Wowsers! Same guy I called out for in the last one, responsible of this. He read the post, and guess what? Continues to do exactly what I said he should stop doing! There are a ton of reasons why you should not do this. It creates unneccessary spam, it's annoying, a longer post may have chances of getting featured (giving you more rep if that's what you want). Just compile all your post ideas into a draft first and post it in one shot. It seriously isn't really hard at all, and is more pleasing on the eyes. Saves people the hassle of scrolling through an endless profile of posts. Maybe you could title it something like "Plans I have for GD" etc, add a background, and stand a chance for a feature.

Custom unicode fonts.

Please just stick to arial. My system font is ubuntu, but even arial looks better and is easier to read. Some custom fonts just seriously look horrible when used in an informative post, as it can really be difficult to read in some parts (some fonts make E and 3 look similar). I get that you want to increase the aesthetic feel of the post, but at the expense of the legibility of the post, it just doesn't seem like a good idea, especially when you're trying to get a point across for example, and people cant read what you've said. Like imagine if this entire post was in an artistic font where an E looked like a 3, this post would be a chore to read.

Off topic

First off, I'm sinning that just because it's undertale. Also, it can be considered an off topic image, as this is Geometry Dash Amino, not Undertale Amino. Upscale isn't the only one (obviously) who goes offtopic. I've seen a lot of offtopic posts in the GDA official chat, in the posts etc. Try to stick to being on topic no matter where you are, unless it's a private group chat meant for other stuff, in which case you're free to do what you want.

A common misconception

Just because your post is under the featured tab, doesn't make it a featured post. If you notice, the recent posts tab is also under featured posts, and it doesn't mean that your post has been featured (if it was, you would be able to see a wide image of it/a row of many featured posts, depending on the feature date.)

Hacking

The example picture isn't exactly hacking, as the person has said they didn't actually beat Erebus legit, but that just makes the post pointless. Also, hacking is one of the many recurring problems in GDA, with hackers posting screenshots of extreme demons and saying they beat it legit, and when asked for proof go all defensive/swear at mods/can't produce proof etc. Hacking just generally ruins the fun in any game, and if you're doing it for attention, don't. Look at WarGack. All he gets is hate. Maybe if you want to get hate then by all means, go ahead, but if you don't want that then try to earn a reputation for yourself through legit means.

And lastly, the one important thing GDA should stop doing...

Before that, here's a pancake recipe, since pepe has said I should make my posts longer:

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 1/4 cups milk

1 egg

3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:

Preparation time: 5mins, Cook time: 15mins. Ready in 20 mins.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Sleeping late.

I have the same time zone as Illu, so you guys can see he was awake at 1am. Many of us are responsible for this one, myself included. But don't forget, good sleep is important to refresh the body and mind, keep you healthy, reduce risk of falling sick etc. It's also when you sleep that your body repairs any injuries and forms new cells so you guys should really get more sleep, GD is just a game, it's always gonna be there on your PC and won't run away yea :^)

Yes, I did want to end the post with a light note. But if you are guilty of anything here, please take what I've said as a learning platform, and I hope you can change for the better.
